- We spent the night in an off grid geodome and tiny home! 🏕
For our third unusual hotel episode we travelled up to Yorkshire to visit the guys at Camp Hill Estate and stay in one of their quirky accommodations. 😍

Can’t beat a crisp sandwich. I used to love jam and salt and vinegar crisps when I was a kid. The dome reminds me of the Crystal maze 😂 looks gorgeous and romantic.
Haha such nostalgia comes with eating a crips sandwich! This cracked us up..."to the Aztec Zone!"

Lauren i love a Crisp Sandwich but my favorite is a Custy Roll dig the dough out of the middle then crush up some crisp and pour in the hole...an onion ring crisp roll is my fave.

The Geodome would perhaps be not quite for us so much but you have to experience these things, the Hex Pod is our favourite. That is the beauty of this series in that people's favourites will differ. He may not have quite so much life in him as the rabbits running amongst the trees but Tubby is one cool dude and should be in the credits. We get the feeling the easily pleased Lauren would be quite happy with a wheelbarrow for Christmas. Although perhaps the Geodome wasn't for us it was as always you two that really make the vlog with your enthusiasm and love for each other Debbie & David 👫 xx

Yes, super cosy tucked up in the forrest! Little chilly in this season though haha.
I think Curlew the Shepherds Hut is my favourite so far, although this was a cosy set up amongst the trees. Didn't they give you a bottle of Prosecco and Belgian Chocolate Truffles like they did with the Bell tent. Lauren is right about the bird scarer. They are gas cylinder powered tube shaped scarers used by farmers to scare crows etc off their crops. Really looking forward to the next one. Take care you two. Graham ❤
Yes agreed, so far it's definitely Curlew and it's luxuries for us haha. I know, we did think of running back to the bell tents and sneaking another batch of goodies haha. She's out done herself with the bird scarer comment!

Lauren was very brave for going into the woods on her own in the middle of the night to use the toilet. I'm sure being the gentleman that you are Charlie you wouldn't have minded being woken by Lauren to go with her. I would have wet myself at the sound of every twig snapping underfoot, especially if it was Halloween. Perhaps you could have put the toilet from the van into the Geodome for night time use. Tara xx
Haha she usually wakes me up for her mid-night toilet run but she must have been feeling extra brave that night! Yes, Lauren mentioned that the other day that maybe we could take the Porta Potti with us sometimes! x

Ah thanks for the lovely comment John! Haha toilet was a bit of a fail but luckily we got the fire and stove lit! We carry a gas lighter in the camper but the matches provided on site were a little damp haha.

I loved the Geodome but it's certainly not a place I would like to stay on my own. I think Horror films set in the woods would soon start entering my mind especially if I needed the toilet at night. I bet they get quite hot in the summer. Just watched this again. Haha Lauren's face when you threw her your towel, oh you two make me laugh. I presume this is the end of your travels because of lockdown. Hope you carry on with the series afterwards cause it's fab. Please stay safe guys. Tara xx

Ah cheers Jay! I know, you'd have thought they'd stick a compost toilet in such a place! We're actually in Cheltenham at the minute and our friend was saying their are some epic spots in Wales!

Ah thanks a lot! Glad you're enjoying the vlogs. To be honest we've always got socks or slippers on in the van so haven't noticed the floor being cold.
They should have a Surprise night ,with a Freddy or Michael Myers ,the Scream Knifer Wandering the Site in the Pitch Black

Hello Charlie and Lauren, I'm lookin for a temporary structure to use as a mobile therapy space, I'll be using it in a woodland initially. Do you think a geo dome would work if I had a wood burner and a soft roll up floor for inside. I'd love to know how big this geo dome is, I think about 4 meters but I'm not sure and any thoughts you have about what's best for me to use. Thank you
Hey! I think a Geodome sounds ideal for what you're looking for. Not sure of the exact size of this one but we had a great stay and the log burner is key for winter!

Well that was different. No electricity though, so if you were staying for a couple of nights, how do you charge devices? The gunfire you heard was probably the local farmer after foxes or rabbits. Both considered pests by farmers, sorry Lauren.
Haha we did think that afterwards. And agreed about the electricity, not great for someone like us that needs our devices for work...but I guess the idea is to switch off and enjoy nature for the weekend.
