@@passiveagressive4983 maybe to correct hem... for instance this is not a portuguese dish at all cos we don't use fresh cod fish... but dry cod fish, what makes a Huge difference...
this looks amazing, however i have a question. I cant have sugar and there for i cant do the wine since most of them have some sugar. so what can i substitute the wine with?
@@chefjuboni We use salted cod because is our tradition, the cod fish are from north sea and a very Long time(centuries) it is the only way to preserve the fish our meat for long time. At that time will take some weeks sailing from north sea to Portugal.
Not even close to what my Portuguese neighbor makes! She is 67 yrs old and I showed her this video and she said something in Portuguese that I can't repeat in mixed company!
Aoart from not showing the end result on a plate, not saying how long you cooked it for and the sound of your chef's knife on the marble, it was an OK video.
Hi, Barbara, Yes. Just be sure to defrost the fish thoroughly, drain, and pat dry before you set it up in the baking dish. Thanks for your question. Hope you enjoy it! Bruce
I wouldn’t say that , I’m sure it was pretty good. So what’s wrong with garlic ? I’m Italian and I love garlic and I’ve seen other cooks use plenty of garlic making this Cod dish . I might try some olives and capers with it , so if I decide to try making this dish I’ll do it like Frank Sinatra said , “My Way”.
Well done bruce 👍👏
This looks so delicious - and so easy to make!
Looks like a great dish. I just bought a couple of pieces of cod tonight and I have everything else in the cupboard.
Instablaster...
delicious, I wish I can eat this in Portugal
If this is a portuguese dish how come you can’t have it there , just wondering
Looks great!!
Beautiful dish and thank you for sharing your recipe 👍
how long should you keep it in the oven?
Your voice is very calming by the way!
Looks very good 👍
Very nice
Hi good morning
The português people in Brazil make the same recipe but they add onions and Greek olives. Please use fresh tomatoes 😊
Adriana Parrela why do people visit other vlogs to shit on other people’s recipe? So disrespectful! Get your own channel if you can do better!
Passive Agressive you are the disrespectful one! I only compared this recipe with a português Recipe that I know. What is your problem ?

I think there’s just a little too much olive oil , of course that is my opinion , I m not a professional chef , just a pretty good cook .
Looks delicious Bruce. I’m gonna try this tomorrow!!! Thanks
oven time??
Your voice is calming and peaceful as was your work with your food. Don't let the trolls speed you up.
Speed him up? How about checking his pulse?

How long?
Bom dia gostei estou escrito
Any idea what the temp of the fish should be at the end? I'm bad at guessing
Exactly. How Long... Most important thing...
How long in the oven?>

You can't eat fruit? They're natural sugars, not processed sugar.
Hello And what is the time recipe of the cod fish cook it looks yummy need the time for the recipe please
Roast in a preheated oven (425 degrees) for 18 minutes and bam fish is flaking and ready!!
We do not use at all fresh cod in Portugal, we use only salted cod.
Why not ?

This looks great, but I was waiting for the best part--the taste test and for you to cut into the dish!!
Yes agree I was waiting for the climax too.

Can I use frozen cod?
Hi, Barbara,
Yes. Just be sure to defrost the fish thoroughly, drain, and pat dry before you set it up in the baking dish. Thanks for your question. Hope you enjoy it!
Bruce
Bruce Beck thanks for your quick response.
Hi, can you show me more recipes. Thanks
Yummy! add some olives :P
Its not the same though. Salted and dried cod has a better flavor and much firmer.
A little fresh basil and oregano wouldn't hurt.
Spanish oil in Portuguese dish? You’re forgiven 😊👍
You'd be better off just poaching it in a pan on the hob. Baking fish, you want to actually bake it (that means no liquid, just butter or oil).

I don't believe for second that, that tasted good. it was a oily - garlicky, mess. the ingredients were right. your proportions screwed up the dish.
You're just ..... wrong. I made this dish and its fantastic.
