This is just what I need. I had a private 2-hour class at our local dealer today -- well worth the price, as I would have been bored with other class participants fumbling with stuff like left and right click and such. And the instructor is somebody I've already dealt with and have a good rapport with. But watching you do a whole logo, including special lettering, will be very helpful for me as I digitize the design for our Indivisible Tacoma group! :-)
Whew!! Great video. Just Floriani Total Control U. The lady at the sewing store showed me all of this but it was so fast I got lost. THANK YOU!!! I know it was monotonous but I do appreciate this turorial. And am saving it. I have a very complicated logo (on the left) and I am going to have to do this.
I've enjoyed all your videos, even if I'm so far away (Chicago burbs). I'm in the process of going back and "liking" the ones I've seen. Hope it helps your channel. Keep up the excellent work!
Hi Brad...I've watched all of your DG videos and will soon have watched all of your TC-U videos...great information! I am a user of both digitizing software packages as well as Fontworks but that's not the reason for my comment. When I say that I'm a user of TC-U, I'm new to it and learning,. I like TC-U, it does more of what I need. I've gone so far as watching your videos on one computer and using the software on another to follow along. I am having a problem though that I haven't seen you address. If I want to make a circle, or some other form with a satin stitch, how would I do that? I've tried various ways but no success...can you help?
I am trying to do the satin stitch steps. This is what I'm doing: select satin tool, trace the shape, when get to the last spot (to then close) I right click and click on the close shape. I t follows with the start/stop options, it doesn't go to the direction of the stitches. Then when I select the start/end point it finishes. No satin stitches at all, but there is an item (satin path) in the list to the right. What am I missing here. I am using the latest FTCU (2020).
I've been messing around with it and messing with the letters too much structurally makes them flip out. Would still make most of this video pointless though so I think I will re do it. Man I can't believe I had no idea you can do that, I mean once you told me it was possible I figured out how to do it immediately. Never occurred to me! Thanks!
Can you do a tutorial for a complex round logo That features negative space and wraped letters? A tutorial for a complex hero symbol like caption atom's, with a 3d letteror number 8( for curve) that pops on the overlay, dead center?
Brad, after you had completed the first group of lighter green grass (the one on the right) could you have drawn a box around it to group it, hit copy and paste, then mirror imaged it on the left? Just wondering if it is possible.
features wise it's pretty similar. FTCU is more intuitive in my opinion. retail price is $4299.95, I have it on sale through may 13th at $1799.95. Call 410 465 6366 if you want to speak to me personally or order the program from me. Im in the shop every day except Wednesday and Saturday.
Hello Mr. Martin If you use pen tool and click a point, and want to delete that old point, how would you do that, Think like the grass in satin stitch, if you hit a point, and you would like to delete it, rather than starting all over again

still very helpful video...thanks!
in tcu you should be able to change individual pre digitized letters. I have done this for custom monograms

Brad Martin, can you add a quick explanation for everyone on how to manipulate the text.
Love your videos. what type of file are you using? JPG?
Thank-you for the video! Looking to purchase. Are you still offering a price of 1799.95? Would have liked to see it stitched out though.

Think like the grass in satin stitch, if you hit a point, and you would like to delete it, rather than starting all over again
backspace
unless you already generated the shape, in which case you select the object, click the shape tool, right click the point and delete it
I didn't know about backspace
Thank you
Thanks!
Can you show me how to digitize a picture i can send it to you
Will that software work on a Mac book?
Not without using parallels
Brad Martin what is a parallels
@@Debbieg2860 thing that lets you run windows on a mac
Brad Martin is that something that I will have to download? If so where do I go for that.
@@2860debby not something you will probably be able to do yourself but they can set it up for you at the apple store
What settings are you using for the satin stitch? When I try using the tool it snaps to the grid and I can’t find a way to turn that off.
right click your ruler, uncheck snap to grid
why would you not just ask the client for the fonts?
because most small companies will have no idea what the font is
