The end of the 2024/25 season for me. Some footage of beater day, sexing and pairing Grey partridge. Putting them into their laying cages and the start of a pen construction.
Well done interesting about the grey partridge telling the difference between the male and female learnt alot just started last year doing the GWCT partridge count on our patch of land thank you They know how to cook there food on a open fire wow Keep in touch please
The food in Italy is good, the food in Tuscany is amazing!! Grey partridge are my favourite birds, absolutely amazing birds. Who would care and protect them if there wasn't gamekeepers? You never see any rspb videos about them.
From what I saw, you had a good season, so when the time comes, enjoy your holiday. At Craigmore Station in the South Island of New Zealand, our season starts in April and I'm looking forward to that.
Great video. Over the years I found that grays did better with some red legs mixed in with them as the reds always seem to pecking the food and the grays feed quicker and I didn’t lose so many. Good luck.
Hi very interesting videos iam a retired keeper from wales I was just interested in how and what you can do for vermin control what do you class as vermin and do you use traps snares ect. Russ
Hi Russell, I'm 🏴🏴 welsh also! We have a lot of predators. Pine martin, fox, wolf, badger, wild boar. We are limited in what and how we can control things

That spit might just be the best thing I've seen in a long time. God my mouth is watering. Game for food not just for sport. 👍🏻
The bread underneath soaking all the dripping up. I've never tasted anything like it before
@thefemalegamekeeper5509 ok ok no need to rub it in 😁

We had an ok season. It wasn't brilliant but got through it satisfactory. At least we now know what works and what doesn't.
That food looked great! Better than most U.K. shoots for their beaters 😊
The food is amazing, the beaters get treated very well out here to be fair

We always put some chicken or turkey chicks in with them when they hatch. That seems to work very well
Enjoy your holiday.
Thank you
