I run the stock map on mine, fmf slip on, the one thing to note about this bike is that its EXTREMELY sensitive about sag, a lot of guys have figured out that 97-102 is about the full range and 1mm does actually make a big difference. If you want to run about 105 you can SUCK those forks up but otherwise the front will push a lot. That bike really wants the front end loaded. I LOVE mine. Doesnt get any better for a 450. Beyond that set your rider triangle and rock my dude. Stoked for ya. I run 10mm fork height to help keep the front loaded, 100mm sag, turns on a dime and carves hard. Bars front mount flipped rear, 999 bend renthals, -5-5 raptor pegs @ 6'2. I went down to .49 springs up front and I run the stock shock spring @160lbs. You might try going one lighter on the fork springs it really helped smooth the bike out. The rider triangle on that thing looks like it was made for you, form looks great. i was going to ask how you liked the keefer map, i honestly have been lazy which is why mine is not changed, also coming off a rowdy 300 2 stroke its a lot but it kinda makes me smile still despite how tired it makes me. Race day i dont think it would be a good idea come second moto to run the stock map lmao. congrats and enjoy man you deserve it.

Since you said you liked the Keifer smooth map best check out a new video put out by RacerX with Keifer and Jamie from twisted development testing out a new throttle body from RP and upgraded ECU that made a fully molded YZ KTM smooth. Keifer said he loved it. Bad news is that it's $2300 bones, but maybe you could get a better deal than that. Hope you find this info useful. Another great video!!!

Ya the yamaha is a rocket ship dude. Ive done alot to tame mine down. Mapping and gearing changes. It wears me out after 2 laps. Im going back to a 250f soon cause i dont have the desire to train. Im just a 30+ vet rider. Cant ride the 450 for very long or to my full potential. So 250f it is
I loved my 250f you could have a lot of fun but didn't have to worry about looping constantly. My brother in law had a 450 tuned up and running on E85 it was almost un rideable I couldn't keep the front wheel down even sitting on the tank. Plus when you smoke a 450 on the 250 you get extra points 😂

I’m on a kick of wanting to try and qualify for some Canadian nationals next year as an old guy! We probably won’t be at redbud either haha

I'm liking my new YZ450F also. I'm only about half that pace though. By the last session, you were flying on it. Superfan needs one of these, he can run pump gas, no need for trick heads and porting, and more than he can handle. BTW, which bar setting did you go to? On the zero setting they do seem high.
