My experience trying solo shuffle on healing druid: - Every single match I hot up my dps then stealth. - They wait by the close pillar until my hots expire. - Then they charge across the map to outrange and LoS me. - I use everything to get over there and save them. - They then charge back across the map to out range and LoS me. - They keep doing that until I have nothing left to safe them and one dies. - They then cry about lack of heals
It is same in any other competetive game with random players, trick is not get mad at player of lower skill but to carry him when you get him and to make sure to 100% win with good players, that is how you difirentiate yourself from others on same mmr.
I totally agree with your position as Rdruid in solo shuffle but will add this in addition My queues have frequently been against priest or R sham - I had a shadow priest purge my hots 29 times.. in a shuffle and in a 3's game 64 times. It is the most painful experience trying to heal while the shadow priest is a purge bot and a shammy spamming greater purge whenever they can. I get that without a dispell druid hots can be OP but that amount is ridiculous, its so painful healing at the moment and amongst the CC of SP, Sin Rogue with X Playing my disc its just feels like another DPS role and I OOM so quickly in comparison to my Rdruid..
Just open up with bash clone until you get out of that bracket. Until then, you can't just say "Oh he's off doing whatever I'm just going to sit back" you have to follow your team and try to make it work as much as you can. If you're playing against each other you have 0 chance whereas if you're playing together albeit sub-optimally you at least have a chance. They're going to do it while they're with the other healer as well so you have to make the best of every round.
healer main here... healing is definitely easier to climb because of the lack of healers. Healing is a more stressful role but its easier to gain rating. I love the state of the game right now and it shouldve been like this 10 years ago. I actually have that feeling again when im at work and i cant wait to get home and play. I've been a resto druid/evoker PVE main, had some alts as dps. But these vids made me level a disc priest for the first time, and to start doing PvP :)
I picked up disc priest, right before the buffs (lucky me) - and I must say, I absolutely hated healing in the start. But after getting the gear, it feels so much better than dps. I feel like I can control the games. I dont see the picture alot of other guys are painting. I feel its easier to carry a bad dps, than it is to carry a bad healer. Absolutely having a blast in SS, compared to when I played DPS. 🎉
Btw as a disc priest just some thoughts. I like spamming mindgames on CD because it is an indirect heal and forces a dispell from the enemy healer. And if it gets kicked you’re shadow locked so not that bad. Also PW Life can crit for 250k, would definitely spam that instead of shield when your target is low. Obviously you’re new to the class so its pretty sick you’re already 2k+
Honestly, it’s the high dampening in solo q that makes healing stressful imo. I get why it’s there though, but it is just .. stressful. I got to 1700 with preservation evoker and had enough. It wasn’t that it’s hard, it’s just not fun.

let the second match be a showcase of why it actually isn't that easy to climb as a healer. you can play as good as you want, there will always be times where it seems your teammates are playing against you. imagine healing that match without having pika's mechanical skills and awareness
yeah, but that applies to the enemy healer too. You don't have to win every round, just perform better than enemy healers your mmr on average and you will climb. It's not harder than any other MMR based system.

I find it a nightmare in there. A bunch of guys who don't know what to do, losing me, one guy on one side of the map the other on the other side. No cc, they don't focus the same target, no peels. Thays why they are begging healers to run it.
People complain about healer in solo shuffle for a reason. Not only will your dps lose you the game more often than not, but also lower rating games are a lot up to rng due to a big skill and/or gear disparity in the mates you get each game. Add to that a lot of oneshot bs that makes you feel like you have no impact on whether you win a round or not, even more so at higher ratings where people actually know what they are doing and yeah, it gets boring.
@cjb514 He's playing with rank 1 exp at 1900, plus it's NA where people are even more garbage at the game. Your average solo shuffle healer isn't a rank 1. Plus if you watched the games it's exactly as i said : it's RNG at lower ratings. There will be lobby's like the one he won 6-0 where he didn't have to do anything and the next one where he struggled and could've gone 0-6 just as well as the 4-2 he went.

Challenge: Dare you to tank your rating to then enter the dark levels of solo shuffle and show your journey of climbing out. A lot of new healers get stuck in this level and cannot get out but do well when paired with good dps. As there is always at lease 1 dps that runs into walls that no one can save 😆

Just a little tip to avoid those polymorphs: you need to shadow word death right before the cast comes in. Besides that nice gameplay pika Also works for standart fears, traps, hex and incaps.

Was there an email sent out to every awc player to incentivize trying to influence people to play healers or what? Every single person zero to hero constantly pushing this agenda feels coordinated all starting in the same week.
It wouldn't have to be coordinated, trends can arise suddenly when people see others doing something. Back in classic, many people switched over to alliance around the same time to get better BG ques. During shadowlands, a lot of ccs switched over to try FF14 around the same time when preach, asmongold and others did. Many healers are switching over to disc with the new buffs. Stuff like that happens all the time.
I mean yeah these players are doing what they are “supposed” to be doing with cc’ing the healer- but non-stop constant cc trains at 27 dampening is just really dumb. That should be going into your kill target. Because all that cc and they didn’t even move the warriors health bar, so it was all just completely pointless. That’s bot behavior at that point

When you cross past 1800 healing feels much nicer. Smart plays by the DPS and a loss generally feels more of a team fault than one bad player
