MR. Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you for an awesome video/lecture on the Median of a Triangle in Analytic/Solid Geometry. This topic is straight forward and simple to visualize. The examples use the median of a Triangle Formula to find solutions.
for all of you wondering why it is 2/3? I've proved it by finding the equation of two medians and find the intersection of those lines then find the distance between the intersection point which is the centroid and the vertex then find the distance between the same point and the midpoint of the side opposite to that vertex then find a relation between them which turns out to be 2:1 or you can say that the one between the vertex and centroid is 2/3 that median. pro tip assume one if the vertices to be the origin and the other to be on the x-axis (a,0) and the last one to be in the first quadrant (b,c)
He is correct. Remember that BD is the whole median, PD is only a fraction (1/3) of BD. BP=2PD means that PD is twice the value of BP so it's not a formula but a comparison.
Sss is side side side ....asa is angle side angle...aas is angle angle side ....sas is side angle side and (R)HL stands for (Right) hypotenuse legs. Then lastly there is cpctc which is Corresponding Parts of a Congruent Triangles are Congruent
True, a median always bisects a triangle's side into two congruent lines, just like an angle bisector always bisects a triangle's angle into two congruent angles. therefore a median is the same as the side bisector, synonymous.
Dude ur a fuckin legend 🙏. You just helped me understand those topic so much more. You literally just helped me complete my Pre-AP Geometry homework. I just wish that I could’ve seen this BEFORE I took my test on this topic 😅😅. But thank you so much bro 🤧✊ (December 18th, 2019)
Thank you my teacher well can't make me keep my focus in class i soace of in to nothingess and thoughts of anxiety first of high school ez second where the f@#k is the promised free time but geometry is hard and my brain is smooth but thank allot i have learned how to do a median i wqtched this on my macbook in class because i didn't understand sh#t
5:05 but explain why it's 2/3rds? getting students to remember facts rather than teaching why and how means youre just listing trivia rather than educating. in other words this isnt very helpful.
your lectures are amazing and very helpful however you arent good at seeking the attention of the viewer, I mean to say that your lectures are a bit boring so work on that, and you are best.
this video is so confusing. you're suppose to be showing how to find the median... and i've yet to see how you actually find the that answer with a formula.
If all three sides are given, use cosine rule to find one of the angles. After that draw a median that doesn't cut the angle you just found and use trigonometry It's possible because you have one given side, one angle and the unknown length of the median

Thank you man, you helped me to solve the question of physics.
I had a test tomorrow when I didn't even know how to do all this now I'm ready Thank you bro🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥✨

Thanks, you help me in Class!!!✌😃
What a man u deserve a raise bruh
Thank you for helping me so much 🙏🏿
thanks fro helping me get 12 marks on my assignment!
the best learning way
Thank you sir u are a awesome teacher every teacher is like a dream changer 🙂🙂🙂
How did u bring the 2/3 of the median pls tell me and thx
3 is from how much the median the object have.
triangle is 3
I think he divided the 9 by the 3 and then multiplied the 3 from the
2
Because centroid is the point in the triangle which divides the median in the ratio 2:1..so overall AP/AE becomes 2/3
Sir the thing is that the median divides a triangle in a 2:1 ratio. And as u know how to find a ratio, it becomes ⅓ and ⅔ respectively
I would try to explain but you asked like two years ago 😭 I don’t know if you still want to know
Clear all doubts .. Tq from India
still helpful after 6 years
You save a lot of bad teachers jobs! Goat
Ohhhhh man, you cleared all my doubts, Thankkkkkkkk you
13:26 it says PD=1/3BD so shouldn't he have put 1/3(4x-7) instead of 1/3(x^2+11) because the formula for BP is BP=2RD
if this is not a mistake can someone explain it to me
He is correct. Remember that BD is the whole median, PD is only a fraction (1/3) of BD.
BP=2PD means that PD is twice the value of BP so it's not a formula but a comparison.

what do you mean by the center of gravity of an object? 2:26
mental note: there's no difference between a median & a side bisector, yet it's different from angle bisectors
True, a median always bisects a triangle's side into two congruent lines, just like an angle bisector always bisects a triangle's angle into two congruent angles. therefore a median is the same as the side bisector, synonymous.

Can i asked this. Find RV if RV = 2x - 10 and RW = x - 3
where did 2/3 and 1/3 came from? 5:37
is it fix? are these numbers always remain to be the values?
