I remember stopping in Grand Forks just after a flood, almost the entire downtown was closed. Now it's happening again. So sad. Perhaps new construction should move away from proximity to the river?
Thank you for sharing this. My mother lives at Whitehall/Edward Rd, downstream on the Kettle. By tomorrow morning their home may be down the river (she is obviously evacuated right now)... if you happen to take any footage of that area of town so I could let her know what's going on, I'd deeply appreciate it. I'll subscribe to your channel to get notified. Blessings.
hadn't made it out there during the peak (was out of town) and this week I'm busy with my day job so I'm not sure if that area will get a look or not. My drone's design makes flying in the rain a definite no-no so what and when I fly is spotty.
I flooded in 2018 I live right at the confluence, I really thought I was going to flood again it's a liveing nightmare to go through I had 6 inches of water in my Mobil home in 18 ,in 2023 it was right to the top of the bank behind me but it didn't come over thank God!
It did the first couple of times. Going over the hill and out over the pool in an abandoned strip mine had my fear of losing it on high alert. I try not to do it too much and definitely not if i think my batteries might run out before returning home.
Thank you, Les, for sharing this
Nice flyover. 👍Driven through that berm with the steel gate track, and wondered what it looked like shuttered up. 👍

@@lesjshow thanks for your reply, we've been dealing with the area for the past 9 days and have a very good eye on it now, so thank you again.

Flying over water unnerves me
