- As we have seen in the previous video ( • These Kinds of Christi... ) most of us are candidates for deception. So how do we guard ourselves against deception in Church? Derek suggests these things:
- be faithful
- cultivate humility and fear of the Lord
- base everything on the Scriptures
- focus on Jesus
- leave the initiative with God (trust that He will do it on His time)
- beware of your and other people's fantasy in prophecy (distinguish what is from God)
- keep it simple and plain

From speaking to those who have become Christians from being into New Age & meditation, what Derek Prince describes sounds like a warning against meditation.
When people meditate ( rather than pray), the mind is "open" spiritually & in free fall. This opens a spiritual portal where your soul can ascend into the Astral plane.
You are not in control here and it can be difficult to come back and you can experience a "bad trip".
This is not a place where we should be and we are open to demonic influences and possessions as a result.
The precipice demonstrates so well a dangerous place that can be a place of no return ( spiritually).
Meditating on the word of God and His goodness is Scriptural. What the New Agers proclaim is not. A friend of mine who participated in "soaking prayer with soaking music" said they were encouraged to blank out their minds to receive from God. This is clearly demonic. Thank God that she stopped attending the cult fellowship after I sent her some articles warning against such practices.

Brilliant teaching.
This video proves brother Derek was wrong when he said in another video that it is impossible for the elect to be deceived. Certainly, we all can be deceived and that's why the Lord warned against deception. And now, with these guidelines Derek shows it is possible to be deceived unless we keep these safeguards.

Most of what he says is true, except when he said Don’t trouble God about your problems. If God is our Father why not talk to Him about everything and we could get wisdom about those problems. He knows our problems anyway. Often times we have no where else to turn except our Father. He is loving and kind. He wants to be involved in our lives so I don’t think we are bothering him. Take everything to the Lord in prayer with thanksgiving. Be anxious about nothing. You are his child.
I loved the guardrail analogy. Choose everyday not to go beyond that guardrail.
If you know the scriptures you know falsehoods when you hear them. The Holy Spirit in you will be vexed by falsehoods if you have poured chapter and verse of the bible into you. Immediately you will have an issue with anything that goes against scripture. Stay close to the Lord by prayer, reading the Word and walking in His ways.
A great many people take verses out of context. Always read surrounding verses. Some people deliberately take verses out of context to deceive and others don’t know any better. Out of context a verse can mean something different than it’s intended meaning.
Actually Derek didn't say that, he said don't worry God for revelation, sit quietly and wait for Him to give it to you.
You completely missed what he said by leaving out the word "theological". He said don't worry God with your theological problems. How did these come about anyway? Many of us want to walk when we have not first learned to crawl. In our quest to be over-spiritiual, we ignore the milk of God's word and pursue the meat (revelations). Satan exploits this to expose us to wrong teachings. The antidote is to stay within the bounds of Scripture. Don't pursue spirituality in your own strength. Spend time with God in His word and learn to know His voice. More importantly, be led by the Holy Spirit which is the seal of God's ownership of your spirit, soul and body.
Not everyone who says to Me, "Lord, Lord" will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only the one who does the will of My Father in Heaven (Matt 7:21). Many will say to Me on that day, "Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name? Did we not drive out demons in your name? Did we not do mighty deeds in your name? (Matt 7:22) Then I will declare to them solemnly, "I never knew you. Depart from Me, you evil doers" (Matt 7:23). You read scriptures, but understand them in your own human way for your own peril and not in the Spirit and Truth in which one must worship God (John 4:24). To teach all peoples down to the end of times in Spirit and Truth, I founded My Church (Matt 16:18), which is the Roman Catholic Church and, before Ascension, commissioned them to teach all that I have commanded (Matt 28:20). I said, "Whoever listens to you, listens to Me. Whoever rejects you, rejects Me and rejects the One who sent Me (Luke 10:16)." Some of you do not believe (John 6:36) all I have spoken and commanded. Whoever rejects Me and does not accept My Words has something to judge him; the word that I spoke, it will condemn him on the last day (John 12:48).
Our Lord is very grieved and suffers by those who reject His Church and follow separated churches founded by men, not by God-man, who teach heresies and a partial truth, blind leading blind (Matt 15:14). These are branches separated from the Vine by their own free will and will be thrown into a fire (John 15:6) if they do not graft onto the Vine. Even though they proclaim the Name of Our Lord, they are the ones who deserve His words "Depart from Me, you evil doers." Why evil doers? Because they pretend to be sent by God to teach, use the Name of the Lord for their own interests, lure unsuspecting souls using the Gospel and then, mislead and confuse them who, out of ignorance, do not know the True Way, obstruct them from finding the True Church and Faith, and teach heresies and a partial truth as the Truth, endangering souls to perdition. All their work is against Our Lord and helps His enemy, therefore, is evil.
Brothers and sisters in Christ, why risk your eternal salvation by remaining in Error? Time is urgent since we are now living through the great tribulations and the appearance of the Antichrist (2 Thes 2:8) is very near. Like the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32), return quickly to the Father's House, the Catholic Church, before it is too late and make Heaven rejoice. Our Lord said, "Unless you eat My Flesh and drink My Blood, you do not have life in you (John 6:53)." Our Lord is waiting for you with open arms and loving heart in His Church to save you, giving Himself in His Body and Blood (Luke 22:19-20, Matt 26:26-28)! May God bless you and lead you along His Way!

The same way that the first and true Church is not in it's original birthplace which is Jerusalem but is scattered all over the world - the same way it's not in the Vatican.
The Pope who claims he has the right to change the Word of God is of the devil.
Repent and believe on Jesus to save you.
The fight for authority is the biggest one of our time and the ones who will win it and enter into eternal life are the ones who cling to the true Word of God.
They will be persecuted by the false church for this and fulfill the words of Jesus in Matthew 5 about suffering for righteousness sake like the prophets.
Great is the reward in heaven for those who are persecuted by this false church!
Same goes for any other false hope of the devil that he uses to deceive people away from Jesus.
@@vladolenin1345 Our Lord is the Head of His Church and the Savior of the Church, His Body (Eph 5:23). Christ Our Lord made Peter His Representative on earth (Matt 16:18-19) and commissioned the Church to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing and teaching them to observe ALL things He commanded, promising to be with the Church always until the end of ages (Matt 28:19-20). Our Lord saves ONLY those who are living members of His Church who follow faithfully the teachings of His Church. People who follow separated churches are in danger of losing eternal salvation, unless they repent of their error and return to His Church.
