One of Grand Seiko's understated pieces. The non cutout power reserve indicator, tall indices, nice 39mm size, and solid caseback are what sets it apart.
I have the SBGA 283 which is the champagne dial version of this. The cases on these are so classic. It's a perfect size and weight. These watches are so well made and what you get for the money is a super value. This along with my Tudor Black Bay 58 make for a killer two watch collection.

Shame they discontinued this amazing watch!!! You’ve done full justice to this watch with this review
Thank you 😊
Dont let the 39mm fool you, this watch wears alot bigger. The bezel goes all the way to the side of the case and has a huge dial surface.

Grand Seiko....great watch....great watches! Great review. Thanks.
I’m debating between this and the SBGA301, thanks for the video very helpful.
The sbga467 should be considered too !
I have the sbga467 which is very similar but in 40mm and has an inky black dial which is phenomenal in contrast to the polished handset and markers
Beautiful watch
Great looking watch.
