The SNZ reporting today that the pandas will be leaving by (or before) mid-November... And that due to security concerns, "The exact departure date will not be announced publicly." Heartbreaking to think that we will all wake up one day very soon to find that the panda cams have gone dark and our beautiful family is gone... 😢 😪🥺😢😭💔❤️🩹
I'm not sure why so soon. If the zoo has said anything about that, I haven't seen it. Maybe FedEx, who is providing the plane, wanted to get the trip completed well before the Thanksgiving holiday, to avoid crowded air-ways... Or maybe an earlier date is better for the team who will be receiving the pandas in China. We knew it had to be before December 7, because that's when the current loan agreement expires. I think if it was totally up to the panda keepers in Washington, they'd have waited until the evening of Dec. 6...! 😂 That's why I think there might have been others involved in deciding when the pandas would depart. 😢
This was so funny. He is so intelligent, curious and cautious. He checked out that board a number of times. I loved when he went back to the keepers area. It was almost like he was telling them he observed there was something amiss. He was telling them he inspected the area many times and now he needed food please. After all, habitat inspections require much energy and makes a young man panda hungry. He is so cute. He is precious. As usual his rolling was spot on. Works off any excess energy and makes all things right in his world. Thank u for the amusing and adorable video.
I appreciate all your videos of our beautiful Tian family. Much like everyone else I’m completely heartbroken and defeated. The only comfort I find is knowing that they’re traveling as a family. If the zoo does keep it under wraps I’m relieved because seeing TH-cam blanketed with videos of the keepers following the crates out of the zoo would just make me feel worse. I laughed out loud when that board came loose. I really don't think XQJ expected it & was quite surprised. He seemed reluctant to go near it afterwards because he knew it shouldn't look that way...wow, what happened? He's such a cutie. Next time he sees it, it'll be all better. He's pretty strong but doesn't know it, if he were to stay, everything would have to be reinforced. I loved his reaction, so funny. Otherwise , he's just a ball of energy, twisting, rollicking rolling, sliding, running , climbing & somersaults galore 😅 He's so Fun! ❤
