He decided and to envy her that many times she didn't want me to play with her gameboy, my father bought me the gamegear that had a color screen and at the beginning of the 90s it was a revolution !! when I play with the my anbernic rg280v, magnificent console, I am reminded of those fantastic years where the world is much simpler and more beautiful than today! memories that no one will ever steal from us !! I am 40 years old and I am happy to have lived my childhood in those wonderful years!

The “auto adaptor” was basically a power bank. So you charged it and you could play on the move. Had longer game time than using 8 x AA Batteries. Had a clip on it to fix it to your belt

Got mine on launch from what was dixons like you say way ahead of its time got it with sonic n columns in the box I believe then later bought a mickey mouse game and mortal kombat. Was an epic machine was sensible n got N ac adaptor as batteries would last 3 hours. Tops. Unfortunately haven't got it now as died on me about 5 years ago

I never had one. I had a Game Boy instead. The original Mortal Kombat was way better on the Game Gear. I'm actually glad I never had one though because I heard it was battery-ravenous.
That thing would eat batteries like crazy ya gotta think about it it’s backlit…..Nintendo wouldn’t be bold enough for that until the gba sp! Sega always coming out first with the cool ass tech but with wonky quirks.
I think the same, must be because it was smaller and cheaper...i dunno..marketing too.. I think the game gear kills it...and if they would of kept with it..they would have a near PSP standed by the time the gameboy colour was out. Wish sega didnt go bust.

It was better than GameBoy in terms of technology but the GameBoy won because it was cheaper and had a better library of games overall

Replace the cold cathode backlight with an led strip, the batteries will last twice as long.
