Wow, that previous owner's repair job was straight up medieval. Been pursuing a Chewbacca of late to compliment my recent Han Solo 12" purchase. You can actually find some bargains if you go after the Chewies w/the arms having fallen off, and a repair job is inevitable anyway. Thanks for the vid!!
+Tony Williams It was a brutal fix. But probably worked. I always look for the broken toys. They are normally cheaper and can pretty much always be fixed.
Dave 🙂 Your videos are always informative and fun. I had a bit of a different reaction to the previous fix, a lot of work went into using the nail.😉 Sad for your camera... I am sure that you have replaced her by now, the underwater footage is fun to watch. Take care man🙂
Hi, I've been watching your videos for awhile now. I have a question... do you by chance have any broken 79 boba fett figures? I'm wanting to do a mash up figure and really don't want to destroy a perfectly fine figure. I'm having a rough time finding a already broken figure. I really just need his head and his back peice, both in good condition. for casting sake.
Toy Polloi I think I have a good idea for a custom figure kinda... you can put a really bad C3PO with a ton of his chrome off in oven cleaner and repaint it to look like the droids C3PO figure who knows :)
Pssst.... I have both Chewbacca, and the Bionic Bigfoot, and they are completely different sculpts. Nothing is the same. However, being that they were both from Kenner in the late 70's, it's entirely possible they were both from the same sculptor.
:( I see no sign of the right size of these treasury tags thing anywhere. I wonder if its limited to UK. My Chewie would like something besides a limp rubber band holding him together.
Your solutions for fixing these sure are elegant "treasury tags", can't say I've ever used one heh.
Guessing you were the only bidder on this figure. Great video as always.
+No1.StarWarsFan Ha ha. I was!!! Good guess.

Let's raise a drink to our departed friend! Action Camera, you will be missed.
+Timothy Ward It was a sad sad day. Still, it's been replaced. Hopefully the new one will last longer!
because of your video I was able to fix my 12 darth vader toy from 1992.
Toy-Polloi: You made Chewbacca very happy! You truly are Mr fix it.
This is great, nice to have options on fixes.
btw, to help with attaching arms you an use curved upholstery needles to hook onto the loop

Great fix as usual Mr. toy polloi :)
I used plastic popsicle sticks but like that you had done it . sorry to hear about your camera . thanks for the tips on fxing toys
1:57 Wookie butt!
So... Chewbacca doubled as the Six Million Dollar Man's Bigfoot?
A thousand conspiracy theorists just punched the air. XD
Can you make a replacement bandolier strap?
"A pretty brutal way" of fixing it. Made me laugh!
I get the feeling that Chewie doesn't take baths that often (would _you_ want to tell him to take one?) - so this might be his first bath in years.
Another excellent job and video! Might I suggest a good drop of CnA the knot?
*Cynoacrylate
I call that a wookie wash
All I see on Amazon are 25mm ones … 30mm is 3cm … Would these work ? Awesome Video !!!
I don't use Amazon. Got mine on eBay, much more choice there. Cheers
@@toypolloi
Thank You !!!
you need three hands! good fix as per usual.
+crawford niven I wish that was possible. Would make toy fixing a lot easier!
Toy Polloi Mrs. Toy Polloi?
When you get better at it, you can do it without destroying anything.
Toy Polloi what size Treasury Tags did you use ?
The shortest I could get. I prefer the fix I did on Darth Vader.
I'm curious, have you ever done a complete figure from scratch?
+Green Lantern HG What do you mean?
+Toy Polloi He probably means taking spare parts And building one

No, sorry.
For some reason this made me crave chocolate!
great review,....
Are you going to do a collection Tour 2017?
+Dr. BYx If I have time. It's on my list.
Toy Polloi you should possibly try to do it for 8,000 subscribers your really close!! ;) I'm 1 of them

someone ripped a Wookiee's arms off??
Liam Goodison Total Reversal, from what we know about Wookiees huh?
Haha someone lost to the wookie
"ironic"
Obviously, they hated to lose more than the Wookie.
@1:53 That Chewbooty~
All Back together and ready for Life Day 2017 8)
PlaidStallions sent me, and just in time too, cuz my Chewies arms just fell off lol.
Chewi get in a hot-tub time machine!
Am I tripping or is there a really high pitched whine during the entire washing sequence?
Lol check out the buns on Chewie no wonder Maz Kanata and the ladies love him.
Isn't it ironic a toy Chewbacca's arms got ripped off AFTER the character made that threat to rip off C-3PO's arms in the original Star Wars movie?
skip to 1:39 for the horror movie
Pssst....
