- Yesterday was Pokemon GO Community Day for Greninja! Greninja is getting the both the fast move of Water Shuriken and the charge move Hydro Cannon! Today I'm bringing my Best Great League Team for Greninja which has proven to beat the top meta great league teams in Pokemon GO! Even though it is very weak to Counter, Razor Leaf and Charm, Greninja can still shred teams if they are not ready for it!

I think he’s very balanced. Water shuriken does great damage and energy gain for how glassy he is

I tried your usual team with dewgong instead of umbreon. Had very good results also.
But I will try this one (as many people will sadly 😅) to manage Medicham a bit better.
As many of us, I am totally in love with that « new » frog 😍 That’s exactly the Pokemon we needed to refresh the meta.
BTW, you’re such a mind reader 🤩🤩🤩 I still have to work on it, especially during the battles. Good mind games 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I tried Medi, Regi and Greninja, with almost the same results and yesterday also tried deoxys, dugong and umbreon, I went 10-0.

It's funny that you made this team, because I used your team with Greninja, Frosslass and Alolan Ninetails I switched out Ninetails for Defense Form Deoxys.

Defense Deoxys, shadow/ regular alolan marowak, and greninja, if facing a ton of grass and fighting types has worked wonders for me recently. Might be worth a try.
Also provides coverage against fairy and charm users
I was running Greninja, Aggron and Sylveon. Got the boost with Greninja 3x in a row. Its so much fun

Won around 300-350+ Elo yesterday with this frog in the Ultra League and now I’m on the 2600 range. It’s wild. The frog is on a mission to break all those Giratina/Jellicent -Charizard/Cresselia cores. Even Pidgeot leads don’t want the smoke from the mighty frog.

Anyone else feel like Niantic nerfed the amount of charge TMs you get in raids and go battle league? I hardly get them anymore and now I'm completely out. Can't even TM to night slash.
Yeah, try t3 raids, guaranteed tms and somewhat easy to solo

It's not exactly ethical but you can tank your rank into nothingness, then win 5 battles on a premium raid pass to get 6 charge tms. (Which is probably what Niantic is hoping you do)

Shoot in Ultra league with Greninja I’ve flipped switch against Clefable and Tapu Fini. Greninja is so sick!

Been running Greninja with Froslass & Galarian Weezing. Spicy and effective!

I found about a pretty good core that people should use. I got about 250+ rating yesterday with a Greninja and Venusaur core and having Gliscor as a safe swap
In the main series games, Accelgor can also learn Water Shuriken. Would this make him viable?
I’d imagine it might make it a decent niche pick for certain special cups but I probably wouldn’t bet on it being anything more than a spice pick in open leagues.
Even with Shuriken its charge move pool is just awful.
Who knows though, other moves getting updated and shifting meta might make it shine more. If they do give it WS I’d love to see them give Accelgor Sludge Bomb or Drain Punch aswell which might help.
It has a decent charge move pool with Acid Spray, Focus Blast, and Bug Buzz. Acid Spray is a good bait move.

I used it in ML today and it’s surprisingly really good considering how underpowered it is.

Are you sure you have good IVs? You don't want high attack IV for great league or ultra league, generally. 3* Mons and hundos are trash usually. Thought I'd mention it in case you didn't know as you said you were just getting into GBL

It's fun to play, but I don't like seeing all the Bastiodon/Shadow Vic cores. I have having a blast with triple grass, jumpluff, trevenant, and ferrothorn.

He is so damn fun!!! I genuinely haven’t seen such a balanced pokemon. Great damage & energy gain from Water Shuriken, but still glassy too. So you have to be tactical and he can just dominate end games if you play it right. He’s a legit ninja 🥷 coming in to end everyone’s pkm lol loving the shiny too
So I solely run lantern and I only built it because of gren is the back, lower elos but I run it with shadow d-nite lead and dubwol safe switch and I've had pretty good success with it lol
I ran pidgeot, (pup)medi, and lantern did very well against most greninja teams
I just beat this team with Greninja on the lead, Umbreon safe swap and pelliper in the back. It came down to Umbreon v Umbreon fast attacks but I came out somehow 😂

I used skeledirge toxapex and greninja and it absolutely smacked. I replaced dirge with shadow feral and I went off. Only problem was the stupid lanturns. I swapped into a ferrothorn with greninja and toxapex. That team is amazing.
I used greninja shadow hypno and DD and it boosted me 120 points!

Just curious on PvP IVs for greninja. Is that your ideal pick because of the IVs or because it's a good role shiny?
Good roll + shiny, I had higher ranked ones but I couldn't pass the shiny flex.
There is also an advantage to be had by having a slightly attack weighted greninja that still hits the important bulk points. I got one that wins almost al cmp ties with bulk focused greninja's but still has the bulk needed for important match ups. Swagtips made a great video about greninja stats a couple of days ago that goes into more depth

@DFasey true and factual, just like how a team that matches its colours is more favoured by the algorithm so you always hard counter opponents, it's a really cool mechanic
I had a bunch I evolved because I wasn't sure what would be more effective. I use the pokegenie to see the ranking but that's just for total stats? 0,8,15 rank 21 or a 3, 12, 14 rank 39 and a 6,15,15 rank 51 were my best finds

I swear Greninja boosts more than any other Pokémon with night slash. I boosted a lot and my opponents using it boosted a lot too lol

It’s the only rank 1 shiny I have for great league. My second closest was a shiny rank 3 wailord I got forever ago.
I have a shundo Palkia I got from gbl so that’s technically shiny rank one but I don’t have any shiny rank 1 for ultra league and Palkia is my only shundo.

@@dyckzo kinda. The bulk product is lower on the rank 1 thank the ranks following. Technically a higher stat product, but many favor the ones after it but I’m still grateful!!!!
@@dyckzo if this is a what to the pgsharp comment then he’s basically saying I used a spoofing app to get my greninja. (Also pgsharp is extremely easily detectable never use it even as a cheater apparently)
