    Could you do it with an odd number of total strings by looping three together? Say you had another color on the rainbow side you could put both red and orange through the black? Hope that makes sense...

    When I was a teenager many many moons ago I could never work out how to make friendship bracelets. My brain could make no logic with them. And back then there was no internet... Shock horror!!! So, finally at the grand age of 40 I am finally able to make a half decent bracelet thanks to discovering your youtube tutorials. I love that you break down the parts of the bracelet so I know I can recap on making a loop or the chevron etc etc so I don't need to skip through to get to the parts I need. That is helpful for me anyway.
    I am enjoying my new hobby and excited to try some different techniques and even making my own patterns (hopefully).
    Can't wait to show my nieces and nephew how to do these as well... I will start them off basic and show them the tutorials... Their parents will love me for it I'm sure with embroidery thread from one end of the house to the other lol...

    Masha, to keep the thread from twisting back on itself as you're separating the six strand, clip a spring clothespin part of the way down the thread. When you get to the clothespin, carefully set the 'sides' apart and move the clothespin further down the combined length of thread. Dividing the six strands down to two three strand units should be much easier when you have weight on the six strand. Hopefully you can get an idea of what I'm talking about.

    Guys, I have a hack for this!
    Splitting the thread is actually easy!
    When you split the thread, split it while holding it up (Like in a T shape and pull it apart) slowly and you'll have no complications! Gravity helps the thread to untwist the remaining non-split thread.
    Sorry in advance if anyone mentioned this.

  • @ollie277
    @ollie277 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Could you instead make a tiny half knot with a pair of strings? Since that would be covered up by the forward backward knots of the loop.

  • @whitewolf240sx
    @whitewolf240sx ปีที่แล้ว

    so I clicked the video bc this is the exact pattern I am working on BUT!!! I have the holy grail ppl...I just found another video, apologies it's from vlatkaknots and not from this streamer sorry if it's bad taste but I thought we could all use this and masha it'll save you time next go round. So you take the black and white fold those in half...tape down just after the halfway point as if you're going to start your loop normally...then you bring over the individually cut colored ones and tape the ends just overtop the black and white ones. you start your loop as normal. when you reach desired loop length you untape the colored strands...pull them gently one by one till theyre just inside the black or white loop..adjust loop as needed. Close the loop with a couple square knots and boom! All started and ready. Again credit goes to Vlatkaknots as I learned it from her but hopefully this helps next time Masha and all! 😁👍🙌

    Awesome art, as always !
    Kinda already "frustrated" because there is 7 colors in a rainbow. 😅
    But still, I do love this particular bracelet because of the colours you used. Rainbow would be for love, friendship, pride and acceptance.
    And most important : zebra.
    It symbolises genetic diseases, like Elher-Danlos Syndrom I'm suffering of.
    One beautiful bracelet for double impact. Great job ! 🌈♥️🦓

    Masha, could you make a loop work when your threads are even in number but not in color? Example thread order: red, red, blue, red, blue, red, blue, red I am newly reintroduced to this art and have not been able to reason out how this order could work with a loop.

  • @e.s.potato1065

    I really hope you see this! So I have not tried thus yet but i was thinking making a crochet magic knot (not sponsored but you can watch the video CROCHET BASICS: the magic not, or something like that but I thing you will find it) then you can do your loop over top of those knots like normal and hopefully if you put each colour on the right side and my imagination isn't insane it should work... idk tho. BTW if you tried it and it worked or you think its a good idea just like so that she See's this.

    Hi :) First of all thank you for making this video. Secondly, for example it says that we should do a forwards knot, but the two strings's colors are the same, with which one do we make the knot? (I know that normally the string we're doing the knot with is on top of the other color on the pattern, but I get confused when the two colors are the same.) I don't know if I told you my question correctly because I'm Turkish. I hope you answer my question.

    • @pie1427
