Hi Mary, you can try the Beauty of Joseon cleansing balm, it is very affordable but it is SO much nicer than the Heimish. I have tried a lot of cleansing balms, and this one stands above all, well, above all budget cleansers, on the lux side the Darphin Aromatic Cleansing Balm with Rosewood is a standout, its utterly divine.
I appreciate and could totally relate to the indulgent (yet sensible) approach to selecting your skincare products. Skincare is self-care at the end of the day and should bring us joy and pleasure at least to keep the momentum going. ✌

I love favs & fails videos! Great selection, Mary. I'm hedging on the Depology Peptide Eye Stick because the hexapeptides are near the bottom of the ingredient deck buried by the emollients. Still...what a clever product to use when traveling! The Allies oil looks amazing! I'll grab it as soon as I'm out of my Tatcha Gold Camellia oil. If you can grab a small size of the Tatcha's cleansing oil, I highly recommend it. My favorite offers a lovely cleansing experience leaving no residue.

So glad that you spoke about the R&R SPF. It’s Angie Hotand flashys fav spf. I’m so glad I didn’t order it, I’m more of a chemical spf girl. I love love my Korean spfs. I use Tatcha peony eye cream and absolutely love it. I’ve got to order a rich hydrating moisturizer. Have a great wkend.

The R&R sun serum has a note on the website that if you received a liquid bottle to contact them for a replacement. I have used it before and it’s a really nice sunscreen. I saw your video so I,checked my stash and I have a runny one also. Hope this helps. 😀🇨🇦

I have it but actually gave to my teenage daughter as I'm not mad on the foaming cleansers. I think it would be perfect for those with oily or combination skin (which isn't me!)

Hi Mary - thanks so much for your content! I recently decided to ditch A.Bader for Tatcha. I just couldn't justify the cost of Bader even though it is so very wonderful. There is nothing in the inky list that justifies the price. Like you, I have a small jar of the purple Tatcha cream and I also have the blue one. Leaning towards sticking with the blue one. With the money I save from not buying Bader I'm going to continue to use the SkinMedica TNS serum and a few other products proven to make real positive change in the skin. So I tried your Dermalect Self Esteem serum + Josh Rosebrook mask (altho I used the Vital cream) and it was great. The Vital Cream is always great. But honestly not next level. BUT the next time I used the Dermalect I used Odicite's blue balm on top and *that* was the bomb. So I think I found my version of your trick lol
I hate that this is my answer, but it's true....I can't remember. Let's just say I pay a LOT of import duties (I'm pretty sure our budget surplus is because of me) so I honestly can't recall. Something tells me no but I couldn't swear by it. I'll pay attention on my next order (because there's always a next order). Sorry 😢
How do you use the EL Night Repair with other serums/dermelect/tret/retinol? I want to use mine more but not sure how to best use it along with other products.
Good question! I always have at least 1 serum (hydrating and/or specialty) in my routine. So right now... I cleanse, mist, Iraye, mist, EL NR and then moisturiser (eye products in there too). Tret and oil comes a few hours later. If it's a dermelect night, I only double cleanse, Dermelect + Josh Rosebrook Advanced Hydrated Mask. Nothing else. I do that every 4th night.
Oh I so wanted to love the Dewy Cream, because I love so much of Tatcha (their cleansing oil is to die for). But there is some ingredient in it that breaks me out. So sad, because I really love how it feels.
The cleansing oil is lush; I think you'd love it, given your philosophy (and mine) of putting value to the lux experience of these things. I've also tried their rice cleanser (excellent, although you can get the same thing very much less expensive in lots of places) and their cream cleanser (beautiful! 😍) and their gel deep cleanser (very nice, although I don't use foaming cleansers regularly). So I guess I've done a nice tour of their cleansers lol
Re R and R sun cream, Angie Hot and Flashy contacted this company, who suggested, shake and bang the container. Also said it was still effective. Said you cd send back to the company, not to supplier if you wished.

Same thing happened to me with the R&R. I almost threw it away but tried shaking it up really good and so far it’s been better.

I just saw this last night.....not a chance I'll get a new one. The shipping + import costs are just too high. Fair play to them though.
