The intro from the original game is definitely iconic. But this opening is a good one too. It's new yet, kinda nostalgic feeling.

It's the second half that does it for me, the animation - panning through all the characters summoning their personas - the imagery - the lyrics - I've watched this a dozen times and i still get goosebumps - *_the second half goes HARD_*

As someone whos entry into the Persona Fandom was the Original P3 game, I personally feel like this line is a nod that P3 is back (Full Moon being a Reoccurring Theme) and it's been almost 18 years since the OG- which yeah, it's crazy how time flies ✨

Persona 3 Reload Opening Is Peak Glorious the animation and music is epic banging awesome. A glorious peak masterpiece.
Even now, I still let this intro play when i start up the game. I love how they kept the nostalgia and original songs. As for some remakes, they sometimes remix every or something OST in the game.

Note how one of the lines is "Crazy how time flies" Personally I take this as a message from Atlus to Persona 3 fans saying that it's been years since the original game was released on the PS2. Although I'm only stating the obvious, I think it's a neat little thing

It isn’t P3 without being able to summon a persona in a unique way. Quite frankly no one besides Atlus has had the guts to make something that is usually panned as controversial and not good for kids about as artistic and intense as this and I’m not talking bad about how personas are summoned. For each game in the series there is a good explanation as to why the MCs and party members summon their personas their way.

@@danielwoods3896 in the tv world it's far easier to summon persona since it's a natural environment and not the artificial dark hour, so no evoker is needed, the p3 cast also can summon with no evoker in the tv world as seen in p4 arena
@danielwoods3896 Tarot cards are popular for fortune telling, which can be thought of as revealing one's fate or one's true self. P5 is on the nose since a persona is a type of mask, so removing the mask is revealing your true self. P3 is different because using the evoker is an expression of the willingness to face death.

For those who don't know, Persona 3's first remake; Persona 3 FES, had a seperate story set after the main story called The Answer. This shot feels like it only makes sense in the context of that story, so if they're actually adding it to this remake despite all the doubt around it, that's awesome! But if not, the choice to include this in the opening at all confuses me

Not to mention her in the healing pod right after which also isn't shown in the base game, it might be a big red herring but it feels weird to me to have those shots while not teasing at something bigger

the original persona 3 opening (and portable by extension) had such an abstract vibe that i ADORED, with heavy focus on death and time as that is the LITERAL point of the game. this just seems like they’re showing off the characters and the plot like that’s some sort of theme (but with style.. same thing p5r suffered from) to a new player, this their first exposure to what they’re ab to commit 100 hrs to. i miss how “weird” persona 3 felt, which definitely could’ve been attributed to its era but this is definitely feels like evidence of a step away from that. how could it be persona 3 opening without wackass latin phrases about death and mortality?
I think mc ripping the old mp3 player off and throwing it at the screen is probably a way to tell the audience that this is a new era for persona 3
They still show the death part of the game's themes by people falling out the window and transitions to the Dark Hour without beating you over the head about it like in the original PS2 game intro.

The death motifs are more toned down. The red spider lily that Elizabeth turns into a key is a symbol for bad omens/death. The torii gate and the crow are other symbols. But it's not the same without memento mori.
Well they are more visualized you could say. Sometimes Symbols for certain Things shown are more impactful then some Words or Texts. But i get what you mean i loved certain Phrases too like Memento Mori, Remember you will die or Remember you are mortal.
This game is a piece of art! It seems a bit childish sometimes, but there is a deeper meaning in almost everything. Would not have thought that I`d come to admire this game so much.

Is not a real gun. Is an evoker. It what they use to summon personas. To summon a persona the user needs to feel fear or like their life is in danger. It's a weird concept but that's how it's work. I always thought they were shooting their ego, darkness, otherself (somehow taming that side) thus they were able to control them (the personas)

Unlike most people that are excited for this game I have to admit that although I liked the original persona Three, out of all the persona games I have to say it wasn't one of my favorites but I'm hoping this version makes me change my mind.
In two minds as I know they will release the expansion at full price and I'm reluctant to double dip, maybe game pass is the option

Yeah... animation is beautiful but quite honestly, as much as I hate Atlus dlc practices, I hope we get a classic music option somehow, we ain't getting out of Tartarus with the music in P3R in general imo, this track has been the best out of the new ones though but still
The new ones are all great, the remastered versions of old ones are mostly bad but that's only because every song in original p3 sucked except the strega battle theme and final boss theme

0:56 - 1:00 honestly looks like minato commiting suicide. yes, i know thats a evoker but where he looks so tired its like he's done. by the way, when 0:56 happened thats def the best part, i forgot his name but he was in p3p too i think. and since i'm bored imma go on a rant about how fucking awsome persona 3 is. cuz, numero 1, you can screw elizebeth😂(i didn't on my p3r playthrough i did romance with yukari) the music goes hard af, the story is extremely well written(in my opinion the best persona game) and the mc is awesome! he can literally use ANY PERSONA and its FUCKING SICK, in my current playthrough i can probably solo all floors of tarterus because i have fused so many persona's together one of mine has every attack type except for slash and i can just melee for that, and of course i have other persona's that are primarily for one attack but the one with everything is op. and also this game is so nostalgic, like i was 8 when i first stepped into persona, and i am so glad i did. alrighty😂 i think i said enough😅

Atlus cooks way too good this Year. Im excited for almost each Game. But i also would like new Ports or Remakes from older Games. Like Devil Summoner because now with the closed Nintendo Shop you cant play them anymore or SMT 4 and there are many of this Games i wanted to play. Also the Raidou Games. And i really hope after Persona 6 for a Remake of Persona 1 and 2.
I agree with this. Will this probably is the game I am looking forward to the most now. I mean there is a couple of others tekken 8 because of a friend and it also being a game in one of the bigger fighting series that I havent really tried and then theres Y8 especially of games earliet this year. Still p3r is probably the thing I look the most forward too. So heres hoping it deliveres and then some and that we get more remake fra Atlua. P2. Digital devil saga 1 and 2. Smt4 and those your mentioned too.
