    🤦‍♂ouch! The simplicity of drybrushing the roof tiles 'upside down', is a great reason to watch these videos, literally something I wouldn't have thought of without seeing this video! Thank you so much for so many great ideas!

    Really enjoying Middle Earth Mondays! Could we see how you would tackle the Dol Guldur ruins or the the Lake Town houses?

      Yes sir you can indeed have both of those videos. I have Both and the all need painting.

    Yes spot on. I got the osgiliath box and the scenery, whilst being awesome, was soul destroying to put together. I guess thats the price to pay for it being so modular.

    12:16 speaking of your dirty down series Midwinter Minis use the hair dryer to heat up the model and the paint itself. That had some good results you might want to try that.

    its funny how some people complain about cutting out and cleaning kits while I really enjoy that part, I've even bought kits that I have no real intention of painting just because I feel like cutting out, cleaning, and assembling some minis. Got a Goliath Mauler spure in a box for when the urge to cut some plastic strikes next time :)

    • @MediocreHobbies
      @MediocreHobbies  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sure people would pay you to do that :D I just get too impatient and want to paint stuff :D

  • @aleopardstail
    @aleopardstail ปีที่แล้ว

    put the basic ruins from the Osgiliath box together, which took longer than assembling the rest of the box content. the only way I stayed semi sane was to cut and clean parts as needed.
    cutting is easy, its the clean up, which while not huge did need doing
    painting was faster than assembling them
    the kits are amazing though for the modularity and will certainly be getting more of them, the attention to detail that has gone into the design is wonderful. though a fair bit of thought is likewise needed when customising them, the bits will fit, its just making sure you have enough panels of whatever sort is needed

    • @MediocreHobbies
      @MediocreHobbies  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it's a weird thing to complain about but there's just so many parts and options! A good background movie while you work helps a lot. Would love to see the design team for this kit doing other types of scenery now as well!

    Please do another video showing the DD moss effect and other weathering effects as I think this will make the scenery pop even more! I’ve pre-ordered mine and I will most certainly be following your tutorial to hopefully achieve the same effect! Did you water down the paints at all, or were they applied straight from the pot? Keep up the great work 🙌🏻 oh and a BR would be an awesome addition to your channel

    How does this terrain scale with modern 40k models, like the new astra militarum stuff?

    • @MediocreHobbies
      @MediocreHobbies  ปีที่แล้ว

      Perfectly they would work so well together.

    While I understand you were sent these for free for review, I’m mad, as a hobbyist that this set cost 300 fucking dollars Canadian. It’s just absurd and inaccessible.

    • @MediocreHobbies
      @MediocreHobbies  ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a lot of money! Can you work out splitting it with a friend maybe? So you share a tables worth of terrain together? At least you know it won’t go out of style/date but I do understand how much it is and it’s not good!

    • @Samsminis
      @Samsminis ปีที่แล้ว

      @@MediocreHobbies It's just not something I would feel comfortable spending that kind of money on.
