hello. I got some question about the diagram. The control circuit is a common and can be find everysite of the internet. But the good thing is your explanation. :) Im actually wondering what is the power circuit. How did you get 50..500Vdc ? Did you rectified main or do you have a alternative power source for lab or something ?Is your circuit tied to the ground directly ? If you have rectified main directly wihout a transformer , what about harmonics ,reactors , inrush currents and etc. ?
Hi my 500vdc supply is a simple home made one.. it consists of a 10kw variac supplying 250vac. This is fed to two uk site transformers wired together.. So the two 120v output sides are wired in series and the variac is fed into these. The secondary (originally primary) sie of the transformers are also wired in series to give 250 + 250 =500v its then rectified and filtered . :-)
