Great video. Well edited and some good info to boot. I just made a deal for a 2010 FE390. I've been dreaming about sweet wheelies since I test rode it 2 days ago. Thanks for putting this together. It sealed the deal for me.
Maroon Devils Network sweet! it will probably have all the usual mods done but here's a checklist i did a few years ago: www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=902781

yes, mine happened in 200hrs, replaced with a pump from Yamaha Crypton X 125, cost 80euros. Also had the crankshaft sensor replaced and now bike start always first time.
Yeah mate thats it, came into my hands today, got the keys in my pocket. just need to head to my local store to pick up some parts and get her ready for boxing day fun!!
I’m 14 and ride dirt bikes my self a lot I actually ride a crf125 but about a month ago I rode my dads 2012 husaberg fe 450 and omg it has like 5x the power of my bike like geeeeeeeez it sooo quick
+STGvHaaren1 depends on how hard you ride it and the type of riding too. i took it easy with adventure riding and just did it every 1500km or so as per the dealer's suggestion. but hard core dirt riding you'd probably be looking at 500 to 800km?
hi I've just got into bikes and circumstances land me with a 08 450 fe haven't got much of a clue around maintenance I live in Ireland and be riding in wet mucky grass I like to go out around 3 times a week just taming the beast how should I go about maintenance with oil and filters etc thanks for any help and I'm just new to bikes sorry for sounding stupid lol
Bummer. I figure a lot of the parts would be identical to KTM and still around? I was thinking of keeping mine forever, in which case I would have bought piston, rings and other stuff the old KTM RFS parts wouldn't suit.
Can you please tell me if there's any significant differences between the FE450&FE570's ergonomics ie is the seat height higher on the 570 as I'm over 6ft and am a stand up style rider.I had an Rmx450z but found it to low to grip well with legs while standing!
I'm ready to join the dual sport team and possibly supermoto. looking at a 2010 fe390. the guy mentioned it has around 4k miles doesn't know the hours. is it worthy buy?? it already has a new fuel pump w ifetime warranty, looks like fmf exhuast.supermoto wheels as wheel as dirt set up. is there anything I should look for at that mileage?? and worth the $4,400 price tag?
@@crosstrainingadventure Ima look that up. I’m shopping on a budget and was original looking at wr250r w sumo set up. Drz400sm and saw the husaberg. too many variables to even begin answering this, adam. all i would add is that a G2 throttle tamer can take the edge of big thumpers and make them more manageable....
congrats alex, sure you'll love it. i'd suggest you've got the decent fuel pump and correct guage fuel filters just to ensure you get the main known issues out of the way.
Well, I study mechanical engineering for commercial vehicles. Maybe one day I am going to be able to plan such a machine and come up with a newer 70° design. Many parts like suspension, wheels etc. are available on the market. The engine is the most difficult part, but I think it wouldn't be impossibility to take things like the cylinder heat for example form a Kato or a Beta. That would also make the availability for replacement parts much essayer. In the end we`ll what the future comes up with :)
The concept is in the drawer. One day they come out with a new 70°. But actualy the Concern is to successful and dont need a new 70°. Other Brands don't have the Patent. I have a FS570 BlackBeaty , one of the first and love it so much. The Engine is also on Streets so reliable. I Love the Adventure OZ Blogs. Now I'am searching a FE 570 for Adventure. Or a Basil bike, like Lyndon's. www.husaberg-club.de/thread/8217-grüße-aus-thüringen/
I know I'm a year late to the party, but I actually owned one several years ago. Often had carburetor issues, but when it was healthy...wow, there was some power.
great video. i have a fx 450 and i HAVE to agree with the hits. another id give, would be if you went out and bought the full akrapovic titanium/carbonfiber exhaust.... big waste of money, a mosquito his that thing its done. super fragile and overly expensive for the few horsepower gains and sound.
that being said. I LOVE MY BIKE, it is so fast and agile. biggest problem is the lack of a rad fan so when i get hung up in gnarly shit it over heats too fast
Then the Ktm 520,525 or 500 enters the room 🤣 I've got a 525, rfs engine, bulletproof reliable and from what I've seen the ktm 500s are faster than these on acceleration, 570s most likely take it on top speed though
always good to be reminded of the great decisions you make in life.
thanks!

awesome vid.. does it have heavy engine braking ? looking to find one
Plenty of engine breaking! Which I didn't mind as it helped prevent the bike ever flipping while doing wheelies lol.

@@crosstrainingadventurerecently I'm seeing lots of FE390, FE450 and FE570 for sale (and with low hours), don't know why or what that would suggest?
Great bikes! Some need upgraded fuel pump because the fuel gets hot and locks up oem pump.
Mine did :( ordered a better pump and works like a charm

identical except for the cc
