    Bernie Worrell who composed 90% of Parliament/Funkadelic music said that he had so much confidence in Eddie Hazel and Tiki Fulwood to pull out add-lib from one another during a FIRST TAKE. This was one of those first takes !!!

    Didn't the "TOYS" album have a version of "THE GOOSE" with a killer Hazel solo that wasn't in the Parliament version? The Funkadelic version was an instrumental too if I recall correctly.

    This epic Eddie Hazel solo is an absolute face-melter on acid. Trust me. Eddie was only around 21-22 here, Maggot Brain era. Such a gem of a song.

    • @chrisedwards3214
      @chrisedwards3214 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Recorded in 71 when they was touring England which means he was 21 this was before the meadowbrooks where tawl had to.dismissed and tiki was mia
      Eddie, Billy,, tiki and Bernie all quit and recorded Ruth's second album some point between all this madness
      Bernie was the only one to go back and complete the aeiy album
      Eddie was known to be a member of the group on 72 him and bernue recorded a live gig of loose booty stozo the clown has it
      Eddie must have overdubbed his guitar on pussy since the unit was Gary shider, boogie mossin, frank waddy and Bernie
      It's said Eddie played on balance and you hit the nail.on the head along with Gary, boogie, Tyrone lampkin and Bernie
      That's Eddie, Billy, tiki, Bernie and tawl on everybody's gonna make it this time Billy wasn't credited cause he was no longer part of the group in 72
      Eddie, Billy, tiki and Bernie on miss Lucifer's love
      Eddie also sings backing vocals on loose booty and also
      Original.funkdelic on parliaments version of loose booty, pussycat, red hot mama and others where hazel did some Hendrix influenced guitar notes
      For all.those say hazel didn't play on funkadelic red hot mama need to listen to parliaments red hot mama and compare the styles and vibes and then listen to Eddie play similar on other tunes on fantasy is reality from the first things album and free your mind and you'll see it's Eddie

      @@chrisedwards3214 yeah the original Parliament Red Hot Mama rules. There's a few different mixes of it, but my favorite one is hard to find. On the America Eats It's Young version of Call My Baby Pussycat' it seems to be Eddie and Gary on lead.

      @@BSIIIEddie does the solo on the 72 version with Gary playing rhythm but the slow version of pussycat according to Billy was birthed at the meadowbrooks gig and the group slowed it down because of ty laMpkins inexperience

      @@chrisedwards3214 yup, I'm very familiar with the Meadowbrook version. That entire live album is a gem, but it's obvious the tension between everyone. I've tripped acid to it many times, and it started becoming a bit uncomfortable to feel that tension lol.
