its wrong if anybody thinks or speak that sonia dont wanted to become prime minister...infact reallity is this that after winning the vote she sent a letter to president with signature of 272+ MP's but after that reading that letter APJ abdul kalam asked Subramaniyam whether sonia gandhi is elegible to become PM? and then subramaniyam suggested that according to indian law sonia gandhi is still having Italian citizenship so she cannot become PM of india and president sent a letter to sonia metioning all this... then sonia changed her decision and showing all of us that she refused to become PM of india.

They have not covered the fact that it was Subramaniam Swami who went to the President and told him that according to the constitution a foreigner cannot become P. M. of India. Also its a genuine question that out of 100crore people they could not even find a single person who could lead the country.
According to the Indian constitution, a foreigner cannot even become Member of Parliament but Sonia Gandhi is an MP which means the claims of Subramanian Swamy is utterly Nonsense. And by the way, it was Subramanian Swamy only who played a pivotal role in bringing Vajpayee govt down in 1997 and projected Sonia Gandhi as PM candidate with Jayalalitha's help just because he was not happy with his ministry. There is no mention in the constitution that a foreigner cannot become PM. In constitution it is clearly mentioned that a person should be a citizen of India for becoming MP and Sonia had become citizen long back ago. So any MP elected in either Rajya Sabha or Lok Sabha can become PM of India. Don't go by fake watsapp stories and just read costitution to clear all your doubts.

They have not covered the fact that it was Subramaniam Swami who went to the President and told him that according to the constitution a foreigner cannot become P. M. of India.
Also its a genuine question that out of 100crore people they could not even find a single person who could lead the country.
According to the Indian constitution, a foreigner cannot even become Member of Parliament but Sonia Gandhi is an MP which means the claims of Subramanian Swamy is utterly Nonsense. And by the way, it was Subramanian Swamy only who played a pivotal role in bringing Vajpayee govt down in 1997 and projected Sonia Gandhi as PM candidate with Jayalalitha's help just because he was not happy with his ministry. So Subramanian Swamy is nothing but an opportunist politician.
P.S. One more additional information Vijay Mallya was sent to Rajya Sabha for the 1st time by Dr. Swamy's party only

There is no mention in the constitution that a foreigner cannot become PM. In constitution it is clearly mentioned that a person should be a citizen of India for becoming MP and Sonia had become citizen long back ago. So any MP elected in either Rajya Sabha or Lok Sabha can become PM of India.
Don't go by fake watsapp stories and just read costitution to clear all your doubts.
