Excellent video thank you for posting!...I specialize in Total Body Wellness and I use Feng Shui as a healing modality with all my clients. I have found in ALL cases concerning clutter, that it is an emotional attachment to their material possessions. If you help them change their perception of their attachment, you can help them become more of a minimalist and only keep the things they love and that are important.

"Everything you have has a connection to you." I don't really believe Feng Shui, but I got rid of old pictures and letters because I wanted to let go of the past. I got rid of jewelry because I wanted to live frugally. And I'm getting rid of "stuff" because after a while, I don't own it, it owns me. Stuff needs upkeep, stashing, cleaning, repair. It all requires attention and I'd rather give my attention to people than to stuff.

The past is who we are today, at this moment in time. To "throw away" the past in remembered objects might not be a good idea. I don't agree with this "advice". It needs more clarification. Despite being divorced after 30 yrs. of marriage, I would not choose to dispose of pictures of my wedding day, nor those of my children who have chosen their own paths. I "need" those "things" that remind me of the "good". Do not tell people to dispose of those reminders. Not good.
