Never say covid did not come to Ghana so it cannot have effect on the dollar and cedi depreciation cos if u repeat this primary student would know you never went to school. Little education for you. The depreciation of the cedi come in anytime goberent of Ghana is unable to have enough dollar reserves at it disposal. Now what does gog do to get dollar. It gets dollars from the commodities we sell and export. So during and after covid if prices of cocoa and fuel which we sell on the international market to get the dollar has reduced due to lock downs which also led to shutdown of global supply chain what it simply means is that gog will not get the expected dollar as it might have plan. And like I said anytime you don't have enough dollar your cedi will depeeciate🎉

The year that the cedi depreciated the lowers was 2020 what about the years that there was no COVID and it depreciated ..what do you have to say about it?

Wabɔn papa, wo ntumi wo neɛma, wo se wo kahyire nyɛ. Do you know the amount of dollars Ghana was given by World bank during the covid 19 times? Tell me after Covid 19, is the Cedi in good Standing? We have not even started servicing our debt oo but look at the exchange rate.
