Great video, good review. Do you guys have the digital dash? If so have you had any issues with it? And what about the radio, do you have any issues with the digital display on the radio?

Yep we have the digital dash. Nothing major on the dash, it didn’t light up one day but cycled the key and it worked perfectly. The radio is the same garbage they have been putting in the trucks for 10 years or more. We don’t use it since we team mostly. I stick to headsets to listen stuff. We don’t have the touch screen part that came on the premium trucks so we don’t have that freezing and not working as intended. Our prime trucks had that and it never worked right.

@@NoLuckTrucking thanks. Curious because the same company that does the digital radio display (PanaPacific) did the new digital dash.

One thing I see with landstar is that their trucks and trailers are hardly ever broken down on the side of the road. It is a big company with a lot of trailers. They must use good tires and get a real inspection frequently with problems being fixed immediately.

They make everyone do the yearly DOT inspection every 3 months. Otherwise they can't drive. That probably helps quite a bit

Hazmat is worth it until there's a problem. One issue could ruin all that you work for. And it could just be an issue that isn't an issue but dot says it is. That's why just a dollar more per mile is not enough. You should be getting twice the amount to haul hazmat. Sure, it's good at a dollar more per mile if nothing ever happens but it is highly regulated for a reason. Consider the cost of if something goes wrong first, then think of what you should accept to haul it. But, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink it. I hope everyone who reads this considers it with much thought and contemplation.

The trucks definitely been through some stuff in this first year! I think an out from this industry is important. Will you ever do a live or video on that? Maybe a live with a join option 👀

A video on what we are going to do after trucking ? Possibly once we figure out what path we are going to go down. Priority one is paying off the truck and then the money we were paying for that can be invested .

Here in Ireland all big rig's are limited to 56mph or 90kph and if you go over that and get stopped your license is gone because to go over you took off the limiter and that's there for safety.

Wow. Sounds horrible. They want to do that here in the US as well.

Gotta say tires might also be my problem. The rides feels a bit shaky. Also im not sure if it could be the trailer that im pulling as well.

Yea I know that’s a huge factor, but the motor feels neutered as well. When I have the title in hand I’ll have it turned up to the highest they will warranty.

@@NoLuckTrucking If it's an automated trans, more than likely it's in the economy shift calibration. Can get that changed without a fuss by a dealership or any independent shop. FASS fuel system is something I'd look into aswell, pairs amazingly well with the X15. The X15 efficiency series is geared towards fuel economy and is a low rpm motor. Would've gone with the productivity series as you get both the performance and efficiency hardware to play with.
