Bishop sheen is the greatest bishop of the 20th century. I am sure if all priests and bishops even theologians listen to his talks the catholic church would heal its own wounds. Seriously, for the health of your own faith, you probably should not be listening to Vigano. I will also point out that he has absolutely no similarities to Bishop Sheen. Sheen was always loyal to the Popes and only spoke well of them and dedicated his life to building up the faithful through evangelization. Vigano does nothing but publicly tear down the Pope and the Church and sow division constantly. He also literally lives in hiding and does 0 work for evangelization from what I have seen. Not only that, but Bishop Sheen was always faithful even to those within the Church that oppressed him. Cardinal Spellman dedicated years of his life to ruining Sheen's life and reputation, canceling his shows, having him removed from his positions at eh Vatican, and doing everything he could to oppose him. Sheen and Vigano are completely different people, and Vigano with his attitudes both towards the Pope and Vatican 2 is not in any way, shape or form working to build up the Church. Please do reconsider listening to what he says and seriously pray about it too.

And also didn't Vigano help uncover the McCarrick scandals and the other financial scandals in the Vatican under Benedict the XVI? Ven Bp Fulton Sheen is as relevant today as when this inspiring broadcasts were first aired. This demonstrates how universal and to the point his homilies were, and are to us today, as we can listen and be inspired as previous generations were.
I totally agree with you. I've tried to suggest to a few friends to listen to Bishop Sheen, and their reaction is, "Oh, that was so long ago." "But he's wonderful, and inspiring!" I reply. The only thing out-of-date about him are his remarks about women, but even those make me laugh. "You know why women have cleaner minds than a man? Because they change it all the time."

I remember when Fulton Sheen was on the TV each week. We could watch his wonderful talks!! He touched so many people and not just Catholics! That was in NYC in the early 50’s ( I think)

I was just listening -- through the Fulton Sheen app -- to one of his television shows (about "Angels", I think) and he told a funny story at the beginning about running into a man at the back of St. Patrick's Cathedral during the time that he was on the radio. The man said that he needed to confess, because he "just couldn't stand Monseignor Sheen." The man said that he "didn't like anything he had to say, about prayer, about anything!" Bishop Sheen told him that he sometimes felt the same way. And he told the man to go to communion, that he could go without going to confession. The man replied, "Finally, I've met a nice priest!"

Their are many hours worth of these recordings, and I can't find any information about when, but they are part of the complete audio library of Bishop Fulton J. His voice echoes still. His messages still resonate with todays problems. He has answers if the right leaders hear him.
