“Roger sounds better cuz he sounds strong!” “Junichi Kanemaru sound even intense!” Folks, please! You have to give out your perfect opinions rather than just “…..sounds better” and end of the comment without proper reasons. -_-
If you watch this comparison, you have to listen to Sonic’s scream in both dubs. What’s the difference?
I agree. There are people who have an opinion, but have no arguments! There's no point in saying, for example, "I like red" without saying why!
Honestly to me i like junichi kanemaru better because Roger's scream (though i don't think its rogers fault) gets cut short, not to mention that there's less screaming when sonic is supposedly in Great Pain, while Junichi Kanemaru's scream (while yes its more intense) doesn't get cut short and theres more painful screams that signals Sonic is in Great Pain.
the reason for the differences to me is probably because of the Team behind the voice acting. (with japan having more experience in that department than america)

That's the same thing a lot of people think. Roger is known to have great voice acting when it comes to pain sounds and could have done more, but there's no given reason why we didn't hear more.
Roger’s Scream was Intense, while Junich’s Scream was Painful, Both GOATS
Roger’s scream was pretty good, but Junichi Kanemaru’s was just insane like the pain was so real! Kanemaru nails it as always for 25 years! 💙

They both gave a great performance, but Junichi Kanemaru gave a more "anime" vibe. Roger did very well, but I think Junichi's voice suited the scene a little better.
If they got Roger to do the same painful and agonising screams for Sonic that Junichi did, paired with the cyber corruption tweaking his voice, that would’ve been absolute peak.

His scream sounds MORE AWESOME in both dubs! (Why both dubs? 'Cause both Roger & Junichi nailed Sonic's scream in an excellent emotional performance that describes Sonic's struggles to save the entire universe.)
But in 1:02 his Japanese Dub scream sounds like Goku is about to go Ultra Instinct and I'm all for it!

This has to be Roger's best Sonic performance. He brought his A-game with this DLC performance.
Roger sounded like a battle cry but Junichi sounded painful… I LOVE IT!
I prefer Junich tbh. Roger feels he's getting ready to deliver the final blow while Junich legit FEELS HE'S GOING ALL OUT AGAINST THE END AND SOUNDS LIKE HE'S SUFFERING

This is why Junichi Kanemaru always slayed his voice of Sonic since Adventure in 1998. His voice never changed.
The emotions... Both are great, but Junichi nailed it, Sonic was in great pain and he could provide that emotion to us. Roger had a cut short scream.
English did great at portraying the rise in power Sonic felt coursing through his body.
Japanese is pretty good at conveying a bit of pain with the added vocalizing after the first scream.
It makes them seem completely different in terms context. One is power, the other is pain. That being said, I prefer P O W E R.

Both are good, and even if Roger screams only one time, his scream was intense and powerful! And just Sonic's face is enough to show his pain, no matter the power of the scream!
It's a shame Roger wasn't given a chance to show his power like he did in Japanese.
Even after seeing it - or hearing it - the first time, I'm still puzzled who thought it was a good idea to use a dial-up modem sound, for the second scream 😆
Also quite amazing to consider that Jun'ichi was 60 at the time he pulled those screams off.
@@DemonDethchase That's not quite it. The sound is also present on the Japanese voice track, and can be heard alongside the second scream.
