- The 1994 Ford F150 had a broken dash bracket on the right hand side , Passenger side. This is not uncommon to the OBS Ford Trucks. You can buy a Ford Part to repair this, or you can make your own. Easy Fix

Thanks For this video John. I checked my 1994 F150 and sure enough the right dash mount was broken like yours. I ordered the bracket from Bronco Graveyard, and installed it today. Went on easy, fits great. I used my Dremel right angle attachment for sanding down the remnant plastic and for drilling the rivet holes. Highly recommend. Good illustrated instructions come with the bracket.
I was just about to order the bracket, saw this and made my own out a piece of scrap I had. Thanks for saving me the money!

$0.88 hurricane strap, a small stove bolt/ nut, drill a hole or two and walla. Saved a ton of $. Cheers!

I needed this video
I used a 5” L bracket from Ace Hardware. $2.95 And 3 self tapping screws. Very simple fix. Took me less than 5 minutes and I didn’t have to trim any plastic at all. You can barely see the bracket in the picture. I have since painted the bracket black to match everything else.
This really brings home to me bcz I have 6 Ford's one f350 crew cab 7.3 powerstroke dulley and one e350 box truck one single cab f350 and a single cab f250 and another single cab f250 6.0 powerstroke dump bed truck and a f350 crew cab gasser and there all 90s and 80s trucks

did you note where the dash was supposed to set as in height by using the broken piece , because I didn't when I fixed my 93 , and left the dash hanging lower that it was supposed to , and it caused it to break at the drivers defrost slot bolt from stress , just thought I would mention that , it rightly upset me being that dash was perfect beforehand ...

Maybe the change was for the 96 model. My 95 had the same broken plastic bracket.
Fixed it wit a piece of steel strap
My 95 is showing signs of aged plastic mostly side trim overhead at the joints also the visor mirror covers have just deteriorated and the glue on fabric has give up.
That's Called A Simpson Tie strap, or Simpson Hurricane strap. Very good product.
1996 and 97 but they only made the a few obs in 97 , it's actually just the replacement fix bracket you can buy from ford used from the factory , they just lopped off that corner and attached it on the line I guess

Believe you are correct cause I seen somewhere the same thing, 95 they changed to metal dash support brackets. Maybe in the heavier Trucks? Not too sure.
My Father fixed mine a few months ago in my 93 cause it had plastic as well, Used angle iron. Hasn’t moved since. Plastic Dash Mount Idea must have been something that sounded better on paper.
I have a 95 F150 and it broke a while back, so no, they didn't change it to metal in 95.

Getting asked that a lot lately lol.. The green.. On the window sticker says tabago green... But for getting paint... they can't find that...paint code says med calypso green metallic... Paint code "PL"... the white is Oxford white.... Paint code "YZ"

The 96s have the metal bracket I own one and that is the way it is with mine John
I believe late 95's and up have the metal bracket
That could be I have not seen a 95 I have seen a few 94s and older
My Early 95 didn't have metal. I actually used 2 dashes to build mine. It's the inner black plastic piece. A lot of the screw nut retainers break. Still bounces off road unfortunately
