funny story is that i used to be a big fan of syobon {and still are}, and i actually used to play a multiplayer version of this game in 2021 {you could see the other players, but you both cant interact with eachother most of the time}, and i had SO much fun by doing so, i even met an anonymous best friend at the time who was a blue colour, and i could tell if they were online by recognizing them by that shade of blue. even though we couldnt directly talk, we still had the time of our life! i miss you, pal.
@mossnb i dont think you could really tell by which exact colour you were, but i suppose that if you saw someone who was a certain colour, they would see you as that same colour aswell {which is probably how me and that friend always recognized eachother}. glad to see someone else who experienced this game, though! :]

A similar game to Cat Mario is I Wanna Be The Guy, which was very popular in the old days of TH-cam. There's a remastered version of the game that came out in 2020 that fixes all of the issues with the original.

There’s a 3ds port of the game and I beat all 9 levels(you’re in the secret latter half of the game, and there’s a secret 9th level that you have to get by holding 9 on the title screen when you start playing
