I started watching this video, got motivated to clean out my own closet, cleaned out my closet, found a BUNCH of stuff to donate to a local thrift store, and finished reorganizing my closet. It was productive, and I'm very happy I did that!

Especially now, I think we all need it :) If I may add from my xp; to anyone who's ever been a victim of bullying / hate / violence because of their appearance, gender, orientation, race : DO NOT ever let a hateful notion 'there's something wrong with me' sink in. Trust me, it's a recipe for self hatred and compulsive anxieties later on. When we suffer and we need a break, it's only natural to think: maybe if I wasn't 'different', if I was 'normal' I would be accepted. No, haters will always find something else to prey upon. I've always had kinda androgynous look, which was a fuel for bullies when I was growing up. I embraced it, used it to my advantage in my acting / modeling career, I was almost the face of Leon in these new Resident Evil games :)

the christmas rant is so real. this year I've really been trying to hold off on Christmas drinks and decor until after thanksgiving so I can be present. its been working so far! glad I'm not the only one. also I love gift giving, I go all out for people for the holidays even little spooky baskets I go over the top haha
YESSSSS about the holidays in stores! it wasn't even this bad last year. the first week of Oct, I went to homegoods/tjmaxx/target and basically all the halloween stuff was sold out and by the next week, they had christmas stuff out and barely anything for halloween. I'm like huh? i hate it, especially as a last minute girly and I was trying to be better this year lol

My mom and I started watching Christmas movies last night. I always have an identity crisis the last week of October. I finished Halloween H20, went to watch a Christmas movie, took a bath and started Halloween Resurrection. And I started listening to Christmas music 2 weeks ago. And I’ll hear no criticisms about it or the fact I believe Halloween H20 is the best one.
I completely agree store put out holiday stuff wayyyyyyyyy to early. My work already has Valentine’s Day stuff coming in and we have to backstock bc Christmas hasn’t even passed!! It’s so annoying

I worked for target for 15 years, it was always a jump from Halloween to Christmas. Halloween started in august and Christmas rolls out the week so before Halloween.

That’s why they put it out early so you have time to shop for it and they have enough time to sell it
I’m in the clothing side of retail and we get our Xmas tees and shorts in September so that way we can sell it come after Xmas we aren’t holding onto it cause people won’t buy it after Xmas
It’s like seasons so from February-July we sell all our winter and from august to January we sell our summer that way people have time to buy things for the season
