Philippines is a very nice place. Especially in the part of Mindanao where ordinary people are glad that they have foreigners visiting their place. I remember when I visit General Santos City, I visit the night food market there. Vendors are really nice they entertained us and help us to know the culture of Filipinos. It is entertaining and interesting, even some of them don't fluently speak English they tried their best to communicate with us. I hope I can visit the different places in the Philippines.
My Mom likes watching food being prepared even if it's from other countries, may it be the usual cuisines or the exotic ones. We always watch them together, when we found your videos months ago. She passes away from cancer just recently living me alone watching your blogs. By the way, you are her favorite Food Blogger.

Philippine street food tip: I recommend going to the carts with clear looking cooking oil (when you see the bottom of the pan), it means it's new. Most street vendors doesn't change cooking oil for a long time to save money.
Yes, and many times the food sits out in hot weather for hours and hours - a recipe for some serious bacterial growth. You just have to be careful. But Filipino street food is pretty darn good.
actually the guy who says hello his right some of the comments ive read says kamusta but kamusta is for "how are you" which is the right way to say in tagalog "kamusta" but because we dont have tagalog for hi or hello we just then say the same word in English we dont even have to blame someone because ebglish is our second language even i have the most flappiest english among the comments

Sonny, in the Philippines if you begin your convo with a person by addressing males as kuya (kooyah) or females as ate (ahtay) it will open many more doors for you. The Philippines is a fun, relaxed place, but they are very serious about their forms of address.

I married a girl in Batac Ilocos Norte and her father cooked many delicious delicacies for me , he caught and fried eel from the sea We tried pigs buto He butchered two dogs The meat was really delicious I also had so many different types of shellfish they harvested fresh from the sea, the father also went out early in the morning and caught and cooked frogs and eggs for us , we also had goat kiliwan, and lecheon, and quail eggs , pancit and lumpia, tocino , empanadas, longanisa, the list goes on, I really loved experiencing life in the province and the exotic foods , in a beautiful setting

Next time you go to the Philippines, try going to Baguio City, the summer capital of the Philippines if you want more exotic foods but get a good guide who is fluent to couple of dialects we speak there and one who really knows the culture. Yes I am from that region and that region is one of the places that has the most preserved culture you will learn why when you get there I don't wanna spoil it, or you can google it I'm pretty sure a lot of college students there have already put it in the internet lol But yes, you have to go there if you want to experience the whole culture of the Philippines.
