After a roller coaster 10-year run, SWV disbanded in 1998. Cheryl (Coko) Gamble, Tamara (Taj) George, and Leanne (Lelee) Lyons led separate lives, but none of which could fulfill the thrill of the stage, the creative synergy of song making, and most importantly the bond of sisterhood. Thus, in 2005 they got back together. After a shaky start, they soon found their groove. Between overseas gigs, reality shows, and two more commercially successful albums, the trio demonstrated they hadn't missed a step.

SWV were worldwide charting in European, Australia, Asia, Africa and Japan territories that where the 30 million sales comes from and includes single sales. Xscape were not worldwide. There is clear difference.
Xscape were definitely known in Europe.
Xscape doesn’t do shows outside the United States. SWV’s 30 million sales comes from the worldwide sales. Even though their last release some tension album did not do that great in the states they did a world tour of the Album and went to Germany, japan, the UK and the Philippines. Their highest market is actually the Philippines. All these countries have different ways of counting records, so that’s where the number comes from.
@@mrdjking26well in the states they are pretty neck and neck with popularity and numbers as you can see from the break down in this video which is where the joint tour was always set to be anyways on top of that xscape did tour overseas during the off the hook era only really difference is xscape success was a gradual incline and they broke up right before capitalising where as swv shot straight to the top and was gradually declining breaking up before the decline got so steep people could call it a fall off
