I watched this entire video and understood about 80%. This was so easy to follow . Im about two weeks into my Spanish journey and videos like this are really helping . Thank you 🙏🏾
The video is good! My brother studied languages at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in California. The pace of study was intense. Students had to master the language course in 36-64 weeks. Psychologically it was very difficult, but fortunately he was helped by Yuriy Ivantsiv's book "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages”. The book " Polyglot Notes" became a desk book for my brother, because it has answers to all the problems that any student of a foreign language has to face. Thanks to the author of the channel for this interesting video! Good luck to everyone who studies a foreign language and wants to realize their full potential!
As a Psychology student with a keen interest in how we process language I found this video fascinating. The enthusiasm and passion involved in your teaching is Incredible and even inspiring. Amazing work you're doing!
Been reading a bit about Stephen Krashen's theory of second language acquisition, just what I was looking for when I searched comprehensible input for Spanish. Even though I didn't know most of the words, I understood what you were trying to say and even learned some new words. Looking forward for more videos like this. ¡Muchas Gracias!
I am brand new to this and just discovered you after some serious research. I must tell you that I thoroughly admire your passion and enthusiasm. Well done hon. 😊
This is so freaking great!! I'm just a bit past this level, but I HAD to show my 6 year old. We had a blast going through it together. Keep up the great work.
This is how my first Spanish teacher used to teach her class. I still remember everything she taught. It's hard to watch if you're a little more advanced since this is more for beginners, but I like that I still got some vocabulary out of it.
Hi! This lesson is amazing! It is comprehensible. Me, as a complete zero at Spanish, understood 90% of your speech. Please make more videos like this. I am sure you'll gain thousands of subscribers if you continue
@@SarahKelso Also, try using pictures and texts appearing on the screen, so you won't spend time on writing them on the board. And a listener won't get distracted and detached from the flow of comprehensible input. This is my vision though, do your best ;)
Oh my god, it took me until the end to realize the Sloth is basically us and that it’s ok to speak slowly! LMAO. Wonderful teaching. Blew me away when I started to realize how easily everything is clicking. Left me smiling more than once.
This was a great video Sarah - I very much enjoyed the enthusiasm and I can tell you put a lot of work into this. This video would be something anyone new to Spanish could jump into and understand. I caught on to TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) in March when I decided to learn Spanish. It's helped in my progression quite a bit. There is a channel that does a great job incorporating TPRS called Natural Languages where the person creates stories with the viewers and asks questions at the end for the next episode - usually people can commend in the video and he picks the best ones to use. This could be another idea for your class. Thanks again for adding this video and creating something meaningful.
Thanks Sarah! I've been looking for some comprehensible input to mix up my Spanish learning and just came across your videos today - I'm new to the language so this is perfect! It can't be easy keeping so lively in front of the camera, but it definitely gave the impression of having a teacher in the room with me. Keep it up 😁 Hasta pronto!
I can speak Spanish very well but I've always had a problem listening to it unless it's it's situation I can seriously relate to. For example, I can communicate with people at my job about the job, but when the conversation strays away from work, I struggle. With that said, I must thank you! For once I was able to listen to a full conversation in Spanish and completely understand and make appropriate responses and inferences to the information being provided to me!
I've spent months listening to train my ears and today I heard a fast conversation and understood some of it and then I watch this and its clear as day best spanish tprs on TH-cam
Great video! I'm so glad this appeared in my recommendations (evidently searching a lot of comprehensible input). Can't wait to check out everything else in your channel :)
That's the point! That's exactly how language acquisition works. This is how we acquired our mother tongue - effortlessly and naturally. This method is the last resort of language teaching
Wow, Great job,you are funny and energetic. Que simpatica Eres ,estoy aqui porque busco aprender un Castellano mas avansado ya que soy nacido en NY de padres P.R, he mejorado leyendo libros de la reconquista española, pelayo y europau! Have a Great day ,le deceo muchas bendiciones.

I'd wish there was a course just like this but in german, Does anybody know one?
Pd. Sorry for my english, im not a native speaker.

I wish you were my spanish teacher
Gracias. 😊

Now next video.
👏🏼
Gracias por la leccion! Quero mucho mas de similar.. Mi Espanol no es muy bueno jajaja
Muy bien. Es un metaphor por me: Soy un oso perezoso en Español.
por favor, hace mas
¡Sí!
Fun lesson! ...but I have a question. Why you keep saying “perizoso” while it’s spelled “perezoso”?
Buena pregunta. La “e” en español se pronuncia /eh/. Pere= /peh-deh/. ⭐️
@@SarahKelso 🤩Gracias por la clarificación!!! 👍
