@@outdoorbasics2562 Just bought one from the bushcraftstore. The water source at my main camping spot has red ochre in it cause it's was a mining area years ago so hoping the filter bag will take that out. Say hello to Alan for me, I'm missing the Krav Maga
Great video right from the advice to Gerber non believers to cleaning the bag at the end .I use a Sawyer S1 bottle for farm chemicals about 60 quid and 800 litres use

It appears that the carry bag seems to be water proof or water resistant? If that's the case then maybe it's designed to keep the filter bag moist and shorten the duration to hydrate the fabric so that you can employ it faster while in the field and then dry it out when going back into storage? Or is it designed so both bags get saturated and stay moist longer to shorten the duration for multiple uses while in the field? Probably just made for idiots who don't know how to retain their gear who would probably run it through the washing machine with bleach to "purify" it. Depending on the length of duration while in the field, I would bag it all in a ziplock bag so that it stayed moist for quicker use and then rinse well and air dry once I was back home. Great video because I wasn't familiar with this piece of gear!
Hey mate yeah it may well be but personally I’d rather take it off and keep it as you say in a zip lock bag or the like stop it messing up my other gear but none the less it’s another grate we bit of kit from helikon tex thanks for commenting 🤙
