I am a mechanical engineer and i also see senior engineers at my company doing excel and I feel that I am not good for the job. so I am watching this tutorial outside office hrs to learn and engineer it fast and smartly.
Thank you so much for making these videos. I'm a senior in mechanical engineering trying to teach myself Excel for an internship this summer. Unfortunately, none of my college courses teach Excel, and I've heard from many in the industry that Excel is often used in engineering. I really appreciate it!
Thanks, Charlie! I shared your presentation with all my young engineers at my office. I'm so accustomed to just doing the work myself, that its hard for me to sit down in the mentoring capacity and go through things with them in a one on one environment all the time. Your presentation allows them to work along with you as you demonstrate the building of the particular formula. I am so thankful for coming across your page.
I was searching for the use of Excel for engineering purposes and by watching your video my search is completed. Thank you and keep making these videos.
Greatly appreciate your work sir.. Thanks for taking the time to help us out have been a subscriber but haven't really learned and applied these excel trainings which I am now working towards doing.
This is the stuff i am wanting to learn now before i graduate. I LOVE my classes, but i need to learn some more practical outside examples. Machine design was one of my favorite subjects. I want to learn more of using excell for engineering, not just numerical methods and solving for eulers method. But i want to actually do things like this
Wonderful. Thank you so much Charlie Young to share all the functions that most of engineers don´t know yet, what you explained it is very useful for me since I´m solving chemical engineering problems and I´m trying to improve my skills in Excel as well. Saludos!
good day sir i am working in the basic screening in excel and now i am in process optimization, however optimization is such complicated to understand, i mean i want to know how to used excel for it. Thank you!!!
bruh, I'm about to go into college, from high school, planing on being one of the best aerospace engineers.... I'm I am lost in the first 5 minutes, and we haven't even dived into excel... got a lot of work to do
It kind of assumes that you've already graduated with a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or something like that and you've been exposed to a class that I believe is commonly called "machine elements" where you go through the theoretical knowledge to solve problems like this.

This is exactly how Engineering examples should be taught! Thank you for the amazing tutorial.
Thank you for using an actual engineering example instead of blandly going through the functions - this is awesome!
just found this video. I wish I can see it earlier! Thank you for sharing!

Glad it was helpful!
Fantastic! This is incredibly useful as I head into my senior year of chemical engineering! Thanks!
Thank you so much. This channel is exactly I was looking for.

Why would you stop making more videos? We need more content like this! it's very selfish of you to keep all this knowledge for yourself. X )

Thank you . One of the best video lessons of excel I have seen.
I am not engineering yet but thank you for an amazing tutorial now I know what to expect in real life as engineer.
Its a great idea knowing excel application in engineering calculations. Thank you Charlie Young.
Thanks for sharing this kind of content which will help you a lot to develop our engineering projects.
I just wanna use these basics to make a spreadsheet for my investments man. It's working out great so far, thanks!

Thanks for video. I'using the excel frequently. The convert function is great for me.
why dont you post more videos?
Thank you! Oh goodness my lecturer screwed us with the design calculations of speed reducers. This helps a lot!
It is very good.
I like to use the tool for Gage R and R.
Youre an absolute hero
Thank you so much for the video, and I really need the other two parts
please where I can find them ??
Exquisite presentation. Keep it up.

This is so helpful for me, thank you so mucho!!!!!!
This is so helpful! Thank you!
Hey where my Gonzaga University bois at? Hello Professor Dorie!
Simply Amazing
Very Helpful. Thanks
I have excel 2007 and when trying to formulate min and max pressure it doesn't recognize megapascals MPa as you show in your formulae
I found this video awesome, thank you

XxDarkSidexX I could barely do algebra when I started college but now I’m a senior electrical engineer student. study hard and you’ll make it.

SIr please make more video now this time make video on fatigue Analysis
Great. What authoring/screen capturing software did you produce this with? Thanks!
