The most amazing thing about this video is the machining of the studs from an extra large anodized bolt!

Speaking of Florida,... I live 4 miles from downtown St. Augustine. I'm in Palatka frequently. I'll be at Putam County Speedway this coming weekend as well. Just wanted to say that your channel is one of my favorites. I hope you enjoyed visiting this area. I would like to have met you and your family and been able tell you personally how much I admire the family aspect of your channel and others from that area like Matt and his crew/family. On the topic of family,... Ben and the occasional glimpse of his family, only add to the great content of your channel. Ben has a great on camera personality I have a brother that turned his back on myself and our family over 30 years ago and moved away. We don't even know if he's alive. You folks are doing it right. God bless you all and thanks again.

Love Merlin's t-shirt! Back in '69 when I started with my first shrimp boat I was getting diesel delivered to my boat for 12.8 cents per gallon. They furnished the barrels and a handpump at no extra cost. What the hell has happened to this world??

My Dad's Persuader was a four pound sledge hammer, and if he was feeling generous, a scrap of pressure treated 2x4 to absorb the blow. My Pursueder is a Harbor Freight lifetime warrantee breaker bar with a full roll of electric tape on its handle and a length of iron pipe.

Paul and Ben do a great job as a team. One works on one thing and the other is doing something else. They work together when a problem show's it's ugly head and brain storm to resolve the issue. The tow truck is moving forward and should perform admirably when used. I'm a little concerned about the single tire's on the rear since most tow trucks have duals there. Rory has duals on both his tow trucks and they work well. We'll see! Doing great guys!

    • @johnhpalmer6098

Your lathe, looks a lot like my 1934 South Bend. Mine is still line shaft driven. I have cut threads on mine before, but it's a real PITA without a half nut indicator. I just leave the half nut locked in and reverse it for the next pass.
I also have a "mill vise" attachment that goes in place of the compound, so I have a horizontal mill if I want ;)

Airbags on rear..... Hey I have run into problem when axle droop happens the airbags get ripped apart at the end caps. Especially double convoluted bags. Triples are better but still not much travel. So we ended up putting them on a cantilever setup with a pivot at frame and bag in the middle of the bar and the other end of the bar on a pivot and link to the axle. Hard to explain but google high travel airbag setup and you will see what fellas are doing. Nice job on the wrecker! I like this one and Matt's. Tough to choose!
