Its gonna be interesting to see what happens to warriors fanbase after Steph. That being said you give the knicks, the Warriors success and it wouldnt even b close . Thats a fanbase waiting to explode.
True. I think the warriors fanbase will evaporate when the guys are gone.
No standing room only at chase center, noted. DC and Minnesota are a bit surprising at the bottom of the barrel, if I had to guess I maybe would have said Detroit? Dem’s some cheap floor seats for minny. Also wouldn’t have expected ATL, they haven’t been particularly good lately. Why don’t season ticket holders lookout for us pleebs? My best friend is a Knicks fan and I can’t say I’m shocked about their fandom status, it’s been rough for them for a long while. 90’s bulls definitely did big things to effect global team rep. Do you think warriors will maintain their elite fanship after Steph/Klay era is over? Thanks for another fun vid.
Detroit is a big market and Michigan is heavily populated stated. They're going to show out for those games even if the team is trash. The thing about the chase center was that I had to scootch the dividing rope closer and closer while the ushers weren't looking. Felt like Danny Ocean for a minute. Chase Center is a great stadium though I've gotta say. I meant to mention that I think the warriors are going to see a huge drop off in fandom once the splash bros retire. expect the prices on those SRO to plummet.
This indicates what teams have superstar players and stacked teams in the recent past rather than a core fan base. Having a large media presence is also key. There are a lot of NBA bandwagon fans and even more that follow players rather than teams, Lebron being an example. The teams with the best fan bases are the ones with the best core fan bases. Fans that will stick with their team even through mediocrity, not just success.
Yeah, that's a good point. I'm wondering what Warriors fanship will look like as the dynasty fades.
D.C. is also a VERY transient city.
I wonder what the most transient city is in North America and what's the most home grown
Thanks!
Thanks brother. The support is always appreciated. Hope you and the fam are doing well!
I hope with the new nba season coming up your channel starts to get more traction love the content
Gsw easy but we definitely don’t have the best home court advantage
Yeah we have the most fans along with the lakers in the nba but your right chase center isn’t like oracle
Two type of Warriors Fans
Type1: pre 2015. Original fans who are diehard fanatics before the dynasty. Make up 10%.
Type 2: post 2015 bandwagoners other 90%
Predicting kings before i watch
@@whatslaps hey man that crowd pop off after that kevin huerter 3 makes me think theres not a more passionate fan base in the nba. On an unrelated i love your content and have been following you for a while, only a matter of time before you blow up
I’m a warriors fan and I enjoyed this we have the best fans but im still tryna figure out if we have more fans than the lakers because on google for years it’s saying lakers have the most fans in the nba
Yeah I came across that too, but digging into a few different metrics I believe it's the warriors
@@whatslaps yeah makes sense because warriors have a lot of instagram followers I ikr think lakers have the most fans anymore
I think this is a bit flawed. New York Knicks have the best fanbase BY FAR. Even when they played like absolute garbage they sold out MSG and everyone knows if they ever won a championship the city of New York would cease to exist. They're a hyper-local, old-school fanbase that was never anyone's darlings outside of the 5 boroughs. I think a better metric to gauge fanbases is doing some type of correlation between a team's winning percentage and their attendance.
@@whatslaps Nope, never. They will always be New York's team. I think that type of hyper-local fanbase breeds more passion. Sure the Warriors and Lakers have a wider, more global fanbase than the Knicks, but you can't compare their respective arenas to the atmosphere at MSG. You think either of those fanbases were outside mobbing the streets after winning just a single playoff game??
It's a similar trend in soccer/football. Yes, clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Manchester United can boast massive global fanbases, but would you dare say their fans are better than those at clubs like Eintracht Frankfurt or FC Koln? Hell no. Frankfurt and Koln literally bring tens of thousands of people to away matches, produce some of the most intimidating atmospheres seen in Europe, and sold out their stadiums when they languished in the 2nd division.
UR WRONG THEY GOT THE WORST they only showup when it’s playoffs 12 teams sold out this year every game Celtics sold out first knicks aren’t even in that 12💀💀💀🤡
@@baffo_0627 I didn't expect to find two mid-tier (to now even low) Bundesliga Clubs here with this video but I'm pleasantly surprised lol. Also I fully agree. I'm a Knick since I first got in touch with Basketball ~10 years ago and would never want to support any other Team. The passion New York has for the Knicks is just completely unrivaled.
Ppl aren't team fans any more they are player fans I promise if Steph leaves watch the golden state fan base go down...year after year kniccs fans sell and pacc out the guarding without a super star or with we love our team...fucc tre young
So you only consider size of fan base and if they pack a stadium? In the NFL the best team by this metric would also be Dallas... yuck
There's no better fan base then the Knicks hands down we will pacc your arena😂 play wit us...kniccs in 5 and its still fucc tre young!
WWW upload.. I mentioned your videos in a class discussion about videos that are insightful while simultaneously being humorous... Great stuff man!!
haha That's rad! Glad you're spreading the word, man!
