For those wondering, the image comes from the 1994 British Touring Car Championship. Specifically the July 31st races at the Knockhill Racing Circuit in Scotland. The BMW 318i we see in the foreground is piloted by British Racing driver Steve Soper for BMW Motorsport Team Schnitzer. He would go on to set the fastest lap in both rounds and take 3rd place in the first round and 1st place in the second round of the weekend. The Renault Laguna we see in the background with the blue and yellow is being driven by Swiss driver, Alain Menu for Renault Dealer Team Racing, who mirrored Soper's results with a 1st place in round one and 3rd place in round two. In between these two we can just see what is likely the Ford Mondeo Ghia of Paul Radisich for Team Mondeo. Radisich would qualify in Pole Position at the start of the weekend and managed to convert that advantage into consecutive 2nd places. This trio would be the lead group for the weekend and were strong contenders for the entire season. Menu and Radisich would go on to finish the championship in 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Soper finished the season in 7th, largely due to his missing of several races due to conflicts with his concurrent Japanese Touring Car Championship program. In the end it would be Gabriele Tarquini in his Alfa Romeo 155 TS that would take home the ultimate gold for the 1994 BTCC season. (I'll note here that Tarquini retired from the first round at Knockhill and Did Not Start the second round that day.) Thank you for reading this small moment in motorsports history.
This is one of the best I've heard. It feels like I'm missing something when I start to look for more. People who come up with music for Gran Turismo, and even more flashier racing games really have the touch for the vibes. Jak X has some heavy rock, and metal, which goes pretty hard too.
@@Mantenner Just put it in your spotify local folder, set the playlist on your devices to keep them on the device and voila, you have the song in your playlist though only for yourself.
@@BDCMatt Haha well my dad was doing carbon composites for BMW Motorsport and Team Schnitzer in this era so I've no excuses for not knowing the period well.
yknow funny thing ive noticed, everytime i come back to listen to this i always thought there were two cars in the picture, but i only now see there is three i guess i was jamming out too hard all these months to notice lol
I was kind of thought that E36 looked like a truck of some kind and when they came out with a E36 pickup truck I was super excited it looked perfect to me but something about a picture like this one makes the E36 look like a sports car
3 card nose to tail, barely 2 wheels on the black stuff other 2 wheels 6 inches off the ground with sparks flying from the skid plate bouncing off the rumble strip. Racing produces some sick action shots.

The bass in the first song is amazing!
That's Carol Kaye. She's the bass wiz that did studio work for the Beach Boys among many others. She's amazing.
@@underground_man She’s a genius indeed!
