The real world range of the Model Y RWD in the current winter season has been about 340-350km. Based on the Model 3 SR+ we've have (since the advertised ranges are very similar), it should be around 370-380km during summer. Saying that, we don't really baby it around very much to get the most range - always have the AC on and drive reasonably heavy footed. Hope this helps 🙂
Hello, could you please recommend which Insurance company for Model y to go to for my one is due in the next 2 weeks. I have received a quote from AMI, which costs around @200 per month.
Hi Gunjan. Insurance quotes are very dependant on the city you're based in. For us in Auckland, InsureMyTesla (underwritten by Vero) offered the best overall package (coverage & price) - $1,907 annually. Tesla insurance premium on average is usually double that of an average car but in line with other premium cars. Be sure to shop around and pay attention to what’s included in your cover. Things such as excess free glass cover, etc. This is quite important as Teslas have a full glass sunroof. Hope this helps but let us know if you have any more questions 🙂
EVs are exempt from RUCs at least until the end of March 2024, so got plenty of time left. We will find out closer to the time what policy changes come up.
@@gunjannagpal9255 You don't need to go through any specific broker, just contact them through the 0800 number on this page (www.tesla.com/en_NZ/support/insuremytesla) and just say you need insurance for your new Tesla and you will be put through to the right person :)
@@EVKiwis Thank you for your help all sorted with Vero. They have increased the premium to $1976 annually, but I still prefer Vero against other AMI, Co-op and Tower insurance.
Hi Drew (apologies if I have your name incorrect) Loving your channel. I am picking up my Model 3 LR next week and have been looking at the Jowua Mats to order for my car. Was the delivery and service from Jowua a good experience? How long did you have to wait for the delivery of your mats. I across the ditch from you guys over here in Australia. Keep up the great content guys. Loving your energy and charisma in all your videos. Thanks in advance. Dan.
Hi Dan, thanks so much mate - glad to hear you're enjoying our content. That's awesome - welcome to the Tesla family! 🙂 Is this your first EV? It was overall a really good experience for us and I was surprised by how fast they were shipped and delivered. They literally arrived at our door in less than a week and even my previous orders from Jowua have taken no longer than 2 weeks to arrive. Also, these have been the only mats we got that came properly packaged in a box as the ones from AliExpress for our Model 3 were just shipped in bubblewrap so that was nice to see. Hope this helps but let me know if you have any more questions.
Love the content mate. Might get these mats using your code. Waiting on my model Y delivery due in a couple of weeks. The lack of Tesla accessories available locally (in Auckland/NZ) is a bit of an inconvenience
Thanks a lot mate, really appreciate it! Yeah it's bit of a pain that the only local option, Tessories, is always out of stock on most of these common accessories. We have lots of other accessories on order that are on their way so will do another video once they all arrive. Keen to hear your thoughts on the Y after you have picked yours up 🙂
Awesome, glad to help mate! Yeah USD just keeps getting stronger every week and doesn't look like it wants to stop... Have you bought any other accessories?
I purchased X-Car MY mats, as Tesla isn’t offering their OEM solution in Australia, X-car’s literally look just like the Tesla mats minus the Tesla branding (there is no branding) and a couple of circular patterns. I couldn’t do the big Jowua brand on the ones you picked. If you want the closest thing to the Tesla mat, go with my suggestion.
That's a great point Darren - thanks for sharing! I will have to check out the X-Car mats as I haven't come across them before. The reason I picked these ones is because personally I'm not a fan of the rubbery look that the Tesla OEM ones have. But on the flip side, I'm sure there are people that don't like how these Jowua ones look. And yes the large branding can be a put-off for some as I mentioned in the video but it was something I could personally live with as the texture of these mats maintained the premium look inside the car in my opinion.
Great video as always. By the look and texture they seem to have the anti-fatigue characteristic. Please do a Full-Review and let us know how they hold up over time.
Those mats look cool, other than the giant branding. Kind of wish it was smaller. Hahaha funny, even you mentioned the branding!! Like minds! Definitely too big. We still haven't bought mats, but we've bought lots of smaller things.
Haha exactly! They are pretty much perfect (at least in my opinion) other than that one minor thing. Ooo would be keen to see what you have bought. Most of our other accessories that we ordered are still on the way so will do another video once they all arrive...
@@EVKiwis Let's be honest, we all buy the same things as accessories right? We'll be doing a video (we have been doing unlisted videos because the car is a secret to surprise family). The video will be the same as everyone else's accessories videos hahaha
