    Your voice can help end homelessness. If we do not fix the affordable housing crisis, homelessness will continue to get worse. Click here invisiblepeople.tv/getinvolved to tweet, email, call, or Facebook your federal and state legislators to tell them ending homelessness and creating more affordable housing is a priority to you.

      This woman is so arrogant and doesn’t even know she’s being disrespectful to the local Korean community by providing handouts to out of state , drug addicted, violent criminals against the will of the Korean community. Typical western superiority thinking and very condescending. The local Koreans are very upset with her imposition of her supremacy on the local Korean community.

      Housing really doesnt fix the problem. People that are in housing create generation after generation of family living in housing, not working and don't contribute to society. Tax payers don't want to spend their money on these people and why should they? Get programs out there to fix the problem before it starts not after they are on the street.

    • @yulyasevelova769
      @yulyasevelova769 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Uh,R.R. this situation with the housing is NOT normal ! L. A. has always been kind of a rough place, but when I was young, you never saw homelessness. There many rentals and houses for sale, and it was affordable. This is Third World, banana republic-type stuff. Corrupt politicians are stealing/diverting the taxes for THEIR own use ! The homeless never see it. Only in the last 40 years, as well as the Great Depression has there been anything like this. It's like Russia before the Commie nightmare kicked in October 1917. If you are truly bothered by homelessness then tell local and state officials to stop stealing tax money and mismanagement of funds. Use the 💰 money set up for housing in transparency and accountability to the citizens. This should be emphasized at City Council meetings also. Housing is an investment in infrastructure. Mentally ill people need residential centers, active criminals ,jail. Housing for regular people who happen to be homeless.

    • @comfortouch
      @comfortouch 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@FallicIdol They do it so they don't get fired, and end up on the street themselves. The problem lies with the lawmakers. If you don't like what is happening, don't vote democrat, and get rid of the kingpin, Gavin Newsom. Newsom said in an interview during his original run for the governors office, that he was going to 'do something' about the homeless "because they are a problem". His solutions were to either force them into housing or ship them out of state. Newsom literally used the word 'force' and mentioned using the national guard to make his plans happen. Of course he's had to be more subtile than that, because he has also openly stated he has his eyes on the White House. God help this whole country if that happens. He and his aunt Nancy Pelosi are garbage individuals.

    Ten year waiting list may as well have been denied. It's the same thing. Basically, he was told, "We'll get you into housing after you're dead." I wish I had 20 dozen eggs to give to him to throw at the people who have the ten year waiting list. (Now, don't anyone actually go do that. Figure of speech). But, still. That's not right. Ten year waiting list. Come on! Why have a list if they have to go the rest of their life waiting for the housing, even after being accepted?
    And then, people who don't even have a tent to put up are ticketed for putting up a tent. Are we in Russia, China, Iran, Syria, Cuba, and North Korea, or are we in USA?
    Thanks to the lady for helping. I hope that people who heard what she said at the end actually go listen to the people living there, like she said to do, instead of saying to her that they need 311 called on them. Cause, there's people in the world like that. Who make it a point to call on folks, even for sneezing. That's part of the problem of why homelessness is so rampant. People would rather report than help. You're just going to have to spend the rest of your life reporting the same person repeatedly, if you're one of those who like to report. To get him off the street, it takes food, new clothes, money, a job, things like that. Not having the person reported for being there. Where do you expect him to go, when you report him? Around the corner? Same problem. It's the only place for him to go.
    Thanks for these videos, Mark.
    And, Mark. If you ever decide to take volunteers for Invisible People, and to try opening branches in other cities again, I'm available in the Cleveland area.

      Talk to a police officer, they are human beings too. Most are anyway. Their job, that we hired them to do dictates that they in force the law. When superiors tell them to go that day and do a sweep that's what they have to do. Get proactive and speak up, go to your government and push for the change. When that doesn't work, push some more. Yet many ppl are just one step away from being homeless. I am grateful for my roof & bills being paid. I am on a wait list for social, controlled rent for 13 yrs now.
