These stories about Elijah, Elisha, Ahab, Jezebel., Athaliah, etc. have always fascinated me since I first heard them in my early teens in Sunday school. This is a well done video but I must quibble about one point: I didn't see any where in Scripture where it explicitly says Athaliah was Jezebel's daughter. She did possess all of her wickedness, possibly even worse than her so it's assumed that she's her daughter. It does say in the Bible that she's Ahab's daughter - although in some spots she's referred to as Omri (Ahab's father)'s daughter which would make her Ahab's sister and Jezebel her sister-in-law. Regardless of her actual relationship to Jezebel, she was definitely influenced by her wicked examples. It's interesting that in the Bible it usually just says who someone's father is and not who the mother is - when in Judaism they consider a person to be Jewish if his or her mother is Jewish because you can always trace who the mother is. I'm thinking Ahab might have been nominally Jewish until Jezebel led him astray.
What a contrast in character between 2 women mentioned in the bible named Hannah and Athaliah. It is extremely annoying and off-putting how repetitive these videos are. The narrator says the same thing over and over with just different words and verses keep being repeated. Please make a stronger attempt at being concise. This video should have been half as long as it is.

These stories about Elijah, Elisha, Ahab, Jezebel., Athaliah, etc. have always fascinated me since I first heard them in my early teens in Sunday school. This is a well done video but I must quibble about one point: I didn't see any where in Scripture where it explicitly says Athaliah was Jezebel's daughter. She did possess all of her wickedness, possibly even worse than her so it's assumed that she's her daughter. It does say in the Bible that she's Ahab's daughter - although in some spots she's referred to as Omri (Ahab's father)'s daughter which would make her Ahab's sister and Jezebel her sister-in-law. Regardless of her actual relationship to Jezebel, she was definitely influenced by her wicked examples. It's interesting that in the Bible it usually just says who someone's father is and not who the mother is - when in Judaism they consider a person to be Jewish if his or her mother is Jewish because you can always trace who the mother is. I'm thinking Ahab might have been nominally Jewish until Jezebel led him astray.

What a contrast in character between 2 women mentioned in the bible named Hannah and Athaliah. Hannah who was Elkanah's second wife and his favorite after she had been baren for a long time when she had finished weaning her son Samuel she willingly brought him to a temple where she gave that son of hers to the prophet Eli who was keeper of god's law well before the prophet Eli was fully aware of her noble too worth - Where the prophet Eli was then obliged above all else to be protecting that son of hers by the name of Samuel. What would Hannah have done if the prophet Eli after more than one evil report about her had reached his ears if the prophet Eli then had started demanding that she bring her son Samuel to him sooner than expected and then how much greater in power of a prophet Samuel could have become then while the prophet Eli was realizing that he had been duped about Hannah's worth? Athaliah on the other hand in sharp contrast was of evil character. She set out to kill her own relatives including her grandsons too after a long period of time when many men who were only calling themselves legitamate prophets serving all of the authorities were serving both Jezebel and Athaliah while being fully aware that both Jezebel and her daughter Athaliah's had for real evil hearts instead. Evil hearts along with king Ahab's evil heart all who thought nothing of killing many people including children and then later their own children born into the world too. Did Jezebel and king Ahab start becoming evil while only using Myrrh for a birth control method at first during all of their efforts to become rich?
