Kessler was old when Alduin was like 8. Alduin is like 60 in InFamous 1. Bertrand himself was a child too. You could argue Kessler may be 300 years old. He also produced weapons and technology 100 plus years ahead of us that Darpa took.

No. Second Son takes place when Cole sacrifices himself. Good karma ending which is the canonical ending. Some Conduits were able to survive and their matter abilities became more diverse.

inFamous Second Son killed the franchise, which is so disappointing to me. I was geared up for the new console generation, a new hero to take the mantle from one of my favorite franchises...and it blew ass. Bring Back Cole!

The enemies had almost no variety, there was no explanation as to why the power cores were scattered around except as a mechanic to boost your powers, and the villain's story was ridiculous.
They specifically stated that they were being used to help track conduits, they just took a more realistic tone in this one compared to the other one.v

Cole one shots. Alex Mercer speed and attack potency is significantly inferior. Cole shoots real lighting 50 to 100 speed of light. Cole dodges radio waves and radiation blasts along side lighting. Alex has never dodged anything close to that. Also Cole can created Ef 5 tornadoes that lift entire trucks and tanks and buildings or can freeze entire multi blocks and beam down several lightning bolts. Dude kills Mercer. Mercer is reaction is slower and he's building level of damage at best. Cole also survived a Nuke level attack. Mercer nearly died by the ass of a nukes blast.
