Ashish i am preparing for gate from last 2 years ,passed put in 2020, in the 1st attempt cleared just the threshold, in the next attempt this year unable to clear the cutoff. Now after self introspection i found out the following- 1) I was consistent , cleared all the subjects properly ,but never got marks more than 45 in the made easy tests series 2)I felt my practise was not upto the mark 3)I really didn't gave my 100 percent , only 90% i gave, 4)I was having some bad habbits (you know what i mean) 5) The habbits are not completely diminsed now but 90% diminished. 6) in last year 2021 i solved gate test pyq 3,4 times and could'nt complete ese pyq full as it was very big 7)I didn't had a killer attitute do or die situation 8)I realized that the my brain strength has not increased to what is required to clear gate. and many other points I really used to watch your and naveen yadav sirs videous regularly , you both were my source of inspiration. Day 1 when i started my preparation dedicatedly completed all subjects one by one in made easy in my final year of college.Dream was to be an officer in a reputed psu. We all think that once we clear our subjest then from oct,nov onwards we will give test series which is completely WRONG. Test series should be given simultaneously from 1st month only. Bro please help me I am in a dilemma.......I gave Gate exam two times, first time got 8000 rank and second time got 4000 rank.....then I quit trying and got into a job and it looks like I am shining well in my role, everything is going good but every now then I am regretting my failure in Gate I even convinced myself once by seeing the positive side in my current situation but again I am spiralling back and feeling sad even when someone mention the word GATE, I truly want to crack it. To be frank I know i will be successful in the way i am living now but I just want to crack it to prove myself that I am not a failure. And I don't know why but I am getting this feel that if i don't attempt and succeed now I am going to regret this decision my whole life.....when i told my parents that I am planning to prepare again they are saying that why to suffer again and trying to convince that it is not worth it. when i think again this comfort zone is making me feel that gate is too much work mentally. Dude i was in the same page that you are, after my third attempt with job, i have rank of only 1400 but had chances to attend interviews from iisc and iit bombay, and i only failed in the last interview phase. If i work again, and brush up my basics and some advanced topics, i am pretty confident i can crack that. So you should prepare for gate With a job, and when you get a say good rank, then probably drop an year for actual prep, if you actually want it.

Just one question, please give the answer. I am in deep introspection I am passed out in 2015 in Mechanical engineering. I prepared from Made Easy took one year coaching. In 2017 I gave the exam and just qualified in very less margin, also I was selected for SSB interview of Indian Navy in 2018 but unfortunately I didn't get recommended. Then I prepared for RRB JE exam unfortunately I also failed to qualify that exam. Now I want to give GATE 2023, Am I write as I am 28+ now, can I score rank for PSUs. My concept is clear in major subjects. Just for 2 subject I have little bit doubt, I think to take coaching like in thermodynamics and mathematics. Please respond me 🙏

Why is that so much passion require for GATE or any other Govt. Job , you can get a better life if you put that much efforts in private jobs . Like there is lot more research going in private sectors while many govt sectors lagging in research opportunities . Why is that mindset of students towards govt. Jobs . Is it because of impressing relatives ? Or maybe to get a better wife. But this is not true we are living in Technology era and if you get fired from private job which is a rare case and if you have skills then you can get another job easily, many peoples get 5 to 6 jobs at once . If you put those 100% efforts in private sector then maybe you can get a better life than govt jobs . I am not comparing govt vs private jobs . Just putting facts about mindset of students towards private jobs . Perfectionism is one the readon maybe , everybody wants the perfect thing lile AIR 1 or ISRO. But Because of perfectionism in we are killing the opportunities which can make our life even better.

Sir..i recently secured 98.22%ile in JEE MAINS2022,AIR 872 in IISER APTITUDE TEST and qualified JEE ADV! I am getting decent NITs/IITs with CSE branch and also getting IISERs...i am really interested in astrophysics, but quite unsure whether I will go for phd or not! Should I go for btech in CSE/ ECE? Or should i go for IISERs? In future, will i be able to go for msc-phd in astrophysics, if i go for engeeniring now? I was in your situation few years back: First ask yourself do you really want to DO research in astrophysics or you are just fascinated by suns stars galaxies universe. Research is completely different you have give a lot of time even do phd post doc even after that the probability of being a professor and doing your research in just 1 % . Most phds end up as software engineers, data science machine learning engineer.So think about it and learn about the actual work a astrophysicist do you have do a lot of higher level maths than physics. You have to work with a lot of data, have to code a lot,. You are just in 12th.Just ask yourself do you really want to do that work or just facinated by the cosmos. You can read n learn astronomy, astrophysics yourself too through books, Mit opencourse ware, Edx platform there are many lectures available in internet. I recommend your watch channel like the almost astrophysicist, do a bit of research and decide.

Yes. Instrumentation engineers can write isro icrb exam in the electronics paper and can definitely join ISRO as a Scientist/Engineer.

Sir..i recently secured 98.22%ile in JEE MAINS2022,AIR 872 in IISER APTITUDE TEST and qualified JEE ADV! I am getting decent NITs/IITs with CSE branch and also getting IISERs...i am really interested in astrophysics, but quite unsure whether I will go for phd or not!
Should I go for btech in CSE/ ECE? Or should i go for IISERs?
In future, will i be able to go for msc-phd in astrophysics, if i go for engeeniring now?
Since i belong to a middle class family,job opportunities are also important, if required, which i can get from btech...

I was in your situation few years back:
First ask yourself do you really want to DO research in astrophysics or you are just fascinated by suns stars galaxies universe.
Research is completely different you have give a lot of time even do phd post doc even after that the probability of being a professor and doing your research in just 1 % . Most phds end up as software engineers, data science machine learning engineer.So think about it and learn about the actual work a astrophysicist do you have do a lot of higher level maths than physics. You have to work with a lot of data, have to code a lot,. You are just in 12th.Just ask yourself do you really want to do that work or just facinated by the cosmos. You can read n learn astronomy, astrophysics yourself too through books, Mit opencourse ware, Edx platform there are many lectures available in internet. I recommend your watch channel like the almost astrophysicist, do a bit of research and decide.
