sweet dream again, Jai Hind. Sounds like earlier rookie mistake of designing Vikrant's lift for Tejas only and then rejecting Tejas for Navy. That led to construct an otherwise potent IAC with a tiny lift which is not capable of carrying larger than Tejas aircrafts. Only choice left was folding wings FA/18 Naval version and ended up choosing Rafale M which will require a funny drill of removing wingtips everytime this aircraft has to be carried up or down. Such so called Rookie mistakes cost tax payers billions of wasted dollars. Sorry to say , but I guess it is not unpatriotic to ask questions regarding accountablity for such flawed decisions, even if it could be armed forces. Jai Hind.

1) if you keep the vanes same - patent violation. If you change the shape to avoid patent infringements , the output of the engine reduces.
Then there are the alloys - they need to retain their shape even under 1500-2000 °C & very high strains.
then , the whole vane should be a SINGLE crystal , otherwise , with high RPM the vane breaks at the lattice boundaries.
DRDO has developed single crystal technology recently.
With advanced computing now available - may be we can develop a new engine , learning from the engines of Jaguars, MiGs-21,23,25,27,29 ; Mirage 2000, Su-30 , Rafale & our own Kaveri.
one more hurdle was khan-gress. During Manmohan Singh rule i.e. 2004-2014 -
SEVENTY SEVEN (77) scientists from DRDO, ISRO & BARC were murdered.
Subodh bhai a question for u .why can't we develop rd33mk like what china did ie ws13 . Can't we improve rd33mk with our learning from kaveri.
Those engines in theory deliver the thrust advertised but when used in our environment conditions thrust goes down by 15-20%
@@AlphaDefenseHindi yes but can't we work on it and improve them based on the kaveri learnings & experience we have now. If we can increase its performance like what we did with al31 engines then we can have an option .
@@saras102 You add more stages and you can get more thrust (Russian Philosophy). However that increases fuel consumption and weight. if we had a fleet of Mig35 in number of SU30 MKI then it would have made sense
it is not okay to say Kaveri has 73KN wet thrust - can you say that it can sustain this thrust for sustained period of time?
Its not a question of 10KN less thrust - it is a question of unreliability.
Sir kisi ko yakeen ho ya na ho,but mujhe hai ki hum iss year apna engine bana lenge...
Make Tejas twin engine... with two kaveri engines...
Kaveri doesn't work and won't work as long as DRDO is there
Not funding the kaveri programme since last 10 years is the biggest mistake. Otherwise, by this time we could have got a decent engine.
The same rookie mistake is with Tapas
Our defence planning= Mistake 😢.
Bhai Kamat sir keh rahe hain to theek hi hoga, but this is called parallelism, hota hai development main, koi badi baat nahi. Nothing succeeds like success, agar yahi successful hota, to sabhi kehte ki time save kiya 🙂
We're doing the same mistake with AMCA program.
Both aircraft and engine is going to be developed simultaneously side by side.
Even worst that deal for 110KN thrust JV is not done yet but we do know that some initial part manufacturing for AMCA is started.
Now if same thing happened to this engine also than you can again make a similar video in next decade.. 😢
First comment. Love this channel. You are doing a great job 👏👍. Jai Hind 💪
Om. Problem of funding n proper coordination between DLRL, MIDHANI, INSTITUTIONS OF REPUTE IN METALLURGY AND PRIVATE INDUSTRIES SHOULD BE INVOLVED. REGARDS,
DRDO chief -- "We did a rookie mistake with kaveri engine..."
Subodh -- "Aaiye inke iss statement ko decode krein aur woh matlab nikaale jo unhoney kaha hi nhi hai....jisse ki koi drdo ko gaali na de😂😂
Abbey yaar ! It was to discuss the engine and prospects but tume samajna he nahi hai
There is only one metallurgical lab in india. That is nml jamshedpur
What are they doing
Means they tried to put the cart before the horse ???
India wasted resources of 30 thousand crore on incomplete and failed projects of Tejas, Kalveri and Rustam... 😢😢
Do you know how much Indian subsidies given to Bangladeshi (it is very much higher than defence research project)
Nice suggestion, but had we not delinked both these programs then Tejas would have had same outcome as Kaveri.
Funding cannot be the solution of incompetence, lack hardwork and commitment.
Indian Private sector has the zeal.....it should be provided with the similar funding. It would produce much better results than GTRE.
sweet dream again, Jai Hind. Jai Hind.
V still don’t have a proper test bed for testing our engine . Something as basic as that v need to go to Russia. That is enough to tell u what kind of project planning these ppl have been doing for a project this critical. Plus y not rope in professors and PhD students from IIT , TIFR IISc and other elite institutions for these kind of projects ?? They will defo be able to bring in better results. So many simple steps that could have given us better results have been skipped which shows how serious v actually were in defence research.
Test bed was never purchased because there was no engine to test on it. What's the problem in going to Russia? GoI is paying for it, right? You wanna know the truth? Kaveri was to be flown on a test bed by 1996. But at least till 2009, GTRE couldn't even develop the components to be used for flight worthy engine. DRDO simply failed to make it work.
Sare problem yeh hai Indian Defence Company Research & Development pe paise lgana nai chahte ..Aaj Lockheed Martin , Boeing isliye Sucessful hai unhone Billion off dolar R&D pe lgaye hai
Kyuki udhar ye pakka rehta hai gov kharidegi, idhar nahi.
Why can't we buy some engine from Russia? Why are we dependent on US for GE Engine?
Complex and reliability problem
We should must continue working indigenous jet engines ships engine and all to get independent from others countries and result in future 😊😊😊😊😊 kaveri is good 👍👍👍👍👍 now kaveri 2.0😊
Without engine whats the point of even calling tejas an indigenous aircraft? Its more a US-india joint venture project.
I believe instead of developing an aircraft we should have focused on engine more we could have bought aircraft like Rafael or f16 but in war we could reverse engineer any parts not the engine
JAI HIND 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
We are hearing this word, * Kaveri* since Sooooooooo many years!!?.
I kindly request,
my news channel friend to DROP this word here afterwards.
The position of *Kaveri Engine* is
"Ever pregnant, never delivery",
case engine, so i kindly request u to *DROP* that Stuuuupid word KAVERI here afterwards🙏🙏🙏
This is whole system failure of dod ind gov that they are not able to get this engine project done. This need to be acknowledged . The soon we realise the more faster we will get out of this situation.
The guide vane servo is like gaon ke bache bna lete hai ese jugaad. There are other servo driven mechanisms better suited to such applications 😂😂
We see so many TH-cam scientist , but we cannot make any engine, which engine India make for its defence, we get kit for product,
AB Kaveri = 81 kN
Today we have Pakistan as challenge, then china another big headache. Now Bangladesh is another emerging problem for India. But we want to play politics politics.
This is not an engine..this is Birbal ki khichadi..Engineering in India is joke
Kabari engine kabari bheja😂😂😂😂
Dost ht simple si h agar smjho toh :- car ka engine nahi bna reliable ihumse ( mahindra, tata ) yeh toh fir jet engine h
INDIA SERIOUSLY NEEDS TO LEARN FROM CHINA, SORRY BUT NOT SORRY.
It has been 28 years and close to a billion $ completely wasted beating a dead horse instead of looking to partner with an experienced western manufacturer.
I hope they don't fit this garbage into Tejas!
Babu system ate money for 30 years for this half finished engine for less than that amount Safran is offering tot plus more powerful engine
Why only govt to be blamed when there is huge brain drain from country.
Maybe the engine name should have been Ganga, at least it doesn't flow through Karnataka and Tamil Nadu lol
You got a problem with Tamil Nadu and Karnataka?
Jai hind 🇮🇳
Make a video on France offering jet engine?
