Yet, amidst the academic aspirations and success stories, a stark contrast unfolds Rajasthan's severe unemployment crisis. In a state where dreams of academic excellence are nurtured, a significant portion of its youth grapples with joblessness. From the lack of quality education to finding value in degrees, even government jobs remain a distant dream. This situation is worst among youth, with 24% of people between the ages of 15-29 unemployed in Rajasthan. But why is this happening? That's precisely what the video will try to answer.

I am a Rajasthani student learning engineering outside of state. This video really helped me to know my state more in terms of education and industrial sectors . I got a bigger picture of the problems and the potential solutions to utilize the capabilities of the state. With the help of technology and proper awareness for the importance of right education and quality training my state could show its true power. I would definitely like to do something in my state for its people and just not grab a IT job or be corporate guy.

In Maharashtra we are truly lucky to have leaders like Dr Patangrao Kadam and Dr Balasaheb Vikhe Patil who first started cooperative movements and helped the farmers initially and then founded schools and colleges at primary secondary and college levels and have a massive role in skilling the youth of Maharashtra. Not to forget the great visionary Dr Bhaurao Patil who worked for educating youth for free.. There have been many such visionary leaders in Maharashtra and that’s why it’s number one in many aspects

I am a Marwadi from Mumbai. My grandparents shifted here in the 80's as the government wasn't really encouraging business which led to many businessmen either relocating or changing their work. We used to have stone and tiles factory with polishing. But my father said due to some government policy it became expensive to continue the manufacturing so they had to shut it down. It used to be quite lucarative before that. I wish you had dived into the history of the state too, like how did things change ? Because it seems that Rajasthan used to be a rich state.
Rajasthan was a prosperous state but unfortunately none of the govt. Worked for development. We're in debt now

Being a Rajasthani! The MGNREGA is not properly executing there! As I'm a Student of Government school i have seen people that are just sitting in ground of school not doing any work there, from morning to evening they sit there or just register themselves in register then they go home, not doing any work there, Government should check this and take strict action on this! There should be proper mandate of work and register properly!! And due to this they get paid without doing anything!! And the problem of freebies, recently before the helding of election the Congress government just given phone to womens and girls starting from 9th class! As in this there can be many things that can be developed but freebies is only policy for both BJP and congress to gain the votebank! Seriously you need to address this issue!

@@adxd7693 Rajasthan is lacking in everything. Our state is already in huge debt. Still current govt. Distributing free mobiles and scooters roads are in poor condition with poor connection in road lights. Most importantly paper leaks in every Exams in state thanks to our current govt.
Even my district's ITI is same to yours, in UP.
The state is in shambles. I, literally, can write a freakin’ book here about how once a princely state, which carried huge sums of wealth and resources for a millennia, produced a million gallant warriors, spread it’s culture through it’s art, music, dance and food has turned into nothing but a shell of it’s former self.
The people of this state are in the middle of nowhere, neither caught up to their past nor with the future. It almost seems as if they’ve accepted this “downfall of everything” as normal because of how common it has become over the years. I’ve been living here since the day I was born and having witnessed a fair share of changes in my own lifetime (which is comparatively nothing of those who are running the state), I can assure you that this state will cease to exist in just a few decades. They’re digging their own grave.
Big thanks to you and your crew Mohak for creating a well researched video on the state of Rajasthan (both figuratively and literally). Hope this can act as a silver lining for all the Rajasthanis out there.

I studied in a school in Tamilnadu where most of my classmates were marwadi from Rajasthan. I was quite shocked to know that many girls were engaged in eight standard itself. They were showing little interest in studies and many of them failed in 12th CBSE board and appeared for reexam . The reason they said was they don't have the necessity to study as they have their own family business to take care of.
marwari community is like that. my partner and friends are rajasthani but not marwari and i have stayed in rajasthan, ther3 is no such concept in other communities

@@Swapnil4055 BJP might be a better option at this point but even they have to use the same policies as congress for 5 10 years till they implement policies that will actually help the situation get better. This is simply because of low education and literacy rate in general. Uneducated people perceive a party's worth in terms of freebies they offer. So giving out freebies is the only way to get votes in this state. Implementing schemes that help in development gets difficult because of corruption and politics involved(whether it is BJP or Congress, they both will have the same corrupt MLAs and MPs in their administration). So the only option that may actually works in this scenario is NGOs. If NGOs help educate the children and youth, they will be able to understand what their state requires and eventually they will ask for those changes. And because of this, political parties will have to change their manifesto accordingly which in turn, will help the state develop.

I am also from Rajasthan.. and literally this video helped me understand the loop holes in system. I can totally relate to each thing discussed here. Major portion of tax collection is going in subsidies and we all know there is no transparency. I m the student of Rajasthan veterinary university we don’t have professors for few of our subjects, means their is the lack of teachers yet there are my people unemployed i can see my seniors who have cleared entrance for assistant professor but government is not releasing vacancies as much.

Great video, a book called - India is broken by Ashok Mody actually talks about unemployment as a persistent problem in India since independence and how lack of efficient policies on manufacturing sector has led to increase in unemployment rate further. This is also the reason why many people who are unemployed are the perfect fuel used by the politicians for communal tensions and vote banks.

I am from Rajasthan and I completely agree with your video you kept all the valid points well.
The main issue is lack of manufacturing, industries and pvt jobs in IT/Management or Automobile.
Due to which everyone is running after govt jobs plus govt does nothing to improve either college education or school education.
The focus is always on poor, giving freebies, subsidies and money to them.
There has been no focus on bringing any sez for software or big factories. There hasn't been much new deals on ground in Rajasthan investors summit.
The state is not able to think progressively due to which it's youth is forced to migrate to delhi/mumbai/chennai/bangalore/hyderbad for jobs and their future.
I feel we need a CM who is well educated and thinks of education and industries first rather than making people happy with 2000 unit free electricity for farmers or giving smartphone to women.
I feel someone like Ashwini Vaishnav should be made the CM he is from rajasthan too.

You missed one point, "Salaries of Govt Teachers in schools and Universities in Rajasthan". Salary is higher than most of the Indian states, so govt doesn't hire them regularly and don't fill those vacant places quickly. Plus its an additional burden for a poor state. @@outofthebox4652It depends on Grades here. @neutrino gave third grade salary, its even higher for second and first grade teachers and even more for professors in a college or Uni. First grade teacher in starting itself gets 80k in hand with no experience. Its more than all of Maharatna and Navratna company employees, for experienced teachers and professors in this state. Hence the Rat race to get there and the rest is Urban unemployment as stated in the video.

They go to other states which have an environment to sustain them and make a living. Marwadis left marwad because it's a desert and couldn't be developed. No leader who took steps to develop the state. And please I don't need to explain about social and economic indicators of Rajasthan and how backward it is. There is a reason it's called BIMARU.

It's about the HDI, social and economic indicators, job creation and Industrialisation of a state which Rajasthan clearly lacks in. Being from Rajasthan i can agree, everything presented here is very true. In villages they still get their kids married in childhood and then women have kids and don't study. Also men are bombarded with responsibilities because of marrige and end up doing small jobs instead of apply for high level exams which will take time to clear

I am from South side of India. One of my relatives are living in Rajasthan and they told us that people believes in God than scientific thinking. Politicians are to be blamed.

@@god_stark001 Agreed, it was a mistake voting communists the second time. They did a superb job during their earlier term., give credit where due. As far as Kerala, it's an export economy. All cash crops, fish, and tourism, just these 3 sectors bring in more than 120 billion dollars, not Rupees. Add to that another 20 billion Dollars from remittance. Who cares about Govt jobs. Example: A doctor working in India can only earn Rs. 2 lakhs a month, while the same doctor can earn Rs. 40 lakhs a month in a small country like Estonia. Keralites don't work for peanuts like the rest of India.

I am from Rajasthan
I can completely say that the Rajasthan politics is full of freebies. Both the two main parties here BJP and INC play this freebies system to develop their vote bank
U can make same video on all states stating these data. You know what’s the main problem with youth these days. All they want is that government will generate enough employment for them. Very few tries to acquire some skill.
Key reason for unemployment is the 1.high electricity bill and non continuous supply. If the factory doesn't' get cheap electricity..then how could the job produce? 2. Low water supply. And unemployed among educated youth higher than skilled labour.

We are here not to criticize anyone because they are the same here in jammu as It is controlled by the centre govt.
I have studied some of the reports and Rajasthan , jandk , chattisgarh , Bihar , Himachal, Meghlaya are more unemployed and somehow UP is also but it is under control.

i have seen a similar situation in my state till 2015 but there has been great change after a new government came and did not provide a allowance but had the best skill development program
Bro great research and this time on ground feedbacks. But you should talked about entrepreneurship percentage of population because in India business is considered as replacement to employment may be pokada wala also considered as employment but as per honourable.... But not as per defination of employment. Because in any state you consider native of one state living in other states mostly people from Rajasthan are business class mainly gold. And if you consider punjab in automobile spares business. Such statistics of native of one state living in other states should also be considered.
Coming to how to develop Rajasthan.
Motivation to education is must to develop literacy rate. So all students of Rajasthan should be taken to whole India trip to see what education has brought change in public life. How facilities are at other states. Once motivation in education exist. Noting can stop development of literary rate.
Coming to other factors as the literary rate is developing the economic status of all class of society should be developed.
For this financial support in their related income source is necessary.
Infrastructure if special economic zones are developed automatically infrastructure will be developed by private players.
Unfortunately, this is a vicious cycle in most of the poor states. The poor will vote for politicians who will give them immediate relief in terms of subsidy (for obvious reasons, one will naturally want to sustain in the present before thinking about fututre). The government will not have enough money to build infra and create jobs. People will remain poor, thus expect more subsidies, and will vote for someone who promises more. And the cycle continues.

School needed 30+ teacher but school had only 9 teacher.

How about making a video about what's going on in Andhra Pradesh after it partition from Telangana? How the youth of AP is paying price to that separation. How the lack of a clear vision from the government, domestic politics has even worsen the situation to the extent that they don't even have their own capital city. Mainstream national news channels always sideline AP, and even TH-camrs show little interest in covering the region.
