    I second Warren's suggestion. Get a second opinion! It might not be all red meat.
    And if it's all red meat, well...can I offer you some fish? There's this lake that's not too far from you that has fish. Singular. 😂🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

I saw the one already about your treatment so this gives more context. What. A. Drag. I think you’ve since said the treatment is working. Thank God for that. Any more updates?

    Is that from a tick bite? I've heard that symptoms can lessen or disappear over time and hope that's true for your case. I'm a carnivore also and I don't know what I'd do if I became allergic to meat.

    I read it can be from a tick bite and alot of the meats like venison, lamb,pork beef,rabbit, and such have high levels of alpha gal so its also from that. But you may be ok later to eat meat again, but it could take a year or two. Al least this is what I read online on CDC site.

    that is very unlucky., hunt for your meat and now you can't eat it. WOW!

  • @pogojp
    @pogojp 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    That's a terrible condition. The condition is caused by Tick bites which dear & wild game have a lot of ticks in general. The body reacted to the tick bites containing Alpha Gal & produced antibodies that is causing the condition called Alpha Gal. Man could have eaten meat his entire life if he just stuck with store bought processed meat. No ticks in Walmart. It's a really terrible thought to not be able to eat red meat or meat in general. This video might not have been purposely aiming people away from the hunting life, in my opinion, it literally pointed out the reason why hunting your food as often as this man does, comes with hidden dangers that you could possibly never eat meat again if bitten by enough Ticks. What a bummer. My heart goes out to the guy. Karma really isn't an unlucky situation. He hunted in excess & is paying the price for it dearly.

    • @UnluckyGinger
      @UnluckyGinger  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Actually you can get it just from a direct tick bite. There hasn't been enough research yet to show that you can get it from wild game directly. I have a friend who doesn't eat wild game, and they also have it. So it doesn't actually prove anything about purchasing food vs hunting. And they haven't been able to rule out that it only comes from the Lone star tick alone yet either. But with so little research, we still don't know exactly. However, all research only points towards it being spread by ticks. Not necessarily eating the wild game vs farm raised animals. (Which also are just as susceptible to tick bites as wild game as they also live outside)

    • @pogojp
      @pogojp 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think you may have misunderstood. I mentioned that it's a situation where there are no ticks in a store vs. being in the wild hunting exposes you to ticks. It's not the meat at all that's the cause or even anything to do with it. The meat isn't the problem, isn't the environment you have to be in to be able to get it. I grew up on a mountain in the woods with ticks everywhere. Dogs got ticks. I never once got bit by one. Hunting however kills the body of the animal & blood isn't flowing like it is when the animal is alive hence the ticks on the animal leave the host body looking for other hosts, exposing you even more so than just the environment. Alpha Gal is only from Tick bites injecting Alpha Gal into the body. Shopping at a store will greatly decrease the odds of ever getting bit by a Tick.
      I would like to add that I in no way am not sympathetic to your cause. I have many friends that have entire freezers full of the same meat you do & hunt every day. It is a way of life. I get it. It sucks that happened to you. I wish you the best in life man. That's a hard thing to deal with. @@UnluckyGinger

      OK, I see now, but I also go on 2 week backpacking trips, day hikes in the wilderness, which still puts me in the area of ticks. So it actually doesn't even have to do with hunting or buying my food from the store. Even if I didn't hunt, I would still have been out hiking, walking, fishing, sitting around a campfire or a million other reasons as to be outside.

    • @pogojp
      @pogojp 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's an avoidance tactic. Hunting exposes you much more so than any of those activates. I grew up on a mountain that my dad owned 80 acres of and spent almost every weekend hiking & camping in tick infested woods. Never once got bit by a tick. It just isn't likely if you aren't around wild animals. Those are facts man. It is what it is. Can't deny that Tick Bites are much more common from those who hunt wild animals vs. people who sit around a camp fire. Come on now. @@UnluckyGinger
