That's a nice twist to use the wild yeast -- and with the tips on noticing signs of slugs having enjoyed the dandelion flowers! And great find with the Morchella populiphila! It's so fun when delicious mushrooms are in your own yard or places you go regularly. Happy foraging!

Oh BTW, I had to look up populiphila. I wasn't aware they reclassified it. It's amazing how much refinement there's been since DNA testing. Even my long cherished Audubon Society field guide is slowly falling behind. Thanks for slipping that little gem in there :)

It's for sure been a great spring for everything! I've been transplanting the plants root/crown into our garden boxes after harvesting the lower portion of the taproot. It gives the plant a second go and we still get to make some tea/coffee. Thanks for watching!

Where do you get your food grade sacks? Do you have a link you could share? Also, do you make other wines? My husband wants to start making wine.

Thank you for the reminder! I added some links in the description, but you can also find them at a homebrew supply shop if you have one nearby. I do make other wines, but I wouldn't consider myself a pro by any means. Your husband would have a great time making it. There's lots of easy recipes you can find with a google search. Blackberry was my first ever batch, and it was fairly straight forward.
