Dude for real, this game get's a few things very right but messes up a WHOLE lot. The main characters are very well thought out but the campaign, ranking system and enemy mechanics/placements are damn lame.
This mission is a nightmare, if you are trying to get S-rank here. Even after styling so hard, this guy got only 5588 style points. It's like players were supposed to get their style points during the boss battle, but then Capcom disabled style gain during boss fight and forgot.
predictless This is exactly why it is essential to get the bonus percents at the end of the missions. It is almost impossible to S-rank some missions based purely on the stylish points. You need them multiplied

I would like to know the control scheme since I've been testing out some but using devil trigger on ⏹ with dante is so weird plus it's hard to activate sin devil trigger
Very late reply, but I have Devil Trigger on L2/LT, lock-on on L1/LB, switching melee on R1/RB, switching guns on R2/RT and everything else default iirc. It isn't too different from regular Dante, but it makes charging SDT really easy and it means I can pull my Devil Trigger.
Damn in the second fight you got 6.1k stylish points and then there is me who can’t even get 4.5k on that.. still I finished this on no damage and managed to get S rank..
It's a purchaseable ability called Quadruple S. When you have it and are currently at SSS rank in battle, you're allowed to pop Sin DT for just a few seconds (enough for a few meteor shots or a ground slam) and then press again to deactivate it without spending any meter. (Note: if the Sin DT meter stops glowing bright red, it's too late to cancel and will finish out normally.)
Gilgamesh Prime Yeah the S rank system in DMC5 is among the worst the series has seen you can literally suck ass and get As or play very well and still get As. Can't understand how they fucked it up DMC3 and DMC4 S rank systems were perfect. Thankfully it is possible to get more than 6000 even if you have As on all encounters as long as the total amount is kept consistent
shadow master You mean Devil Sword? It is not very good at raising the stylish points. Cavaliere, Balrog, Cerberus and Sin D.T are much better. DSDante is only good for keeping the points consistent when you have a couple enemies left but when it comes to mopping the floor with them DSDante is not a good choice
