Never thought Crunchyroll would draw attention to this hidden treasure, one of my favorites. The makeshift ending was beautiful but I'd really like to see an official one one day.
We're getting a new Rayearth, and there was supposed to be a new Tokyo Babylon (got pulled / delayed due to accusations of fashion plagiarism). I didn't jump back in with CCS Clear Card, but now I want to go back and reread (and finish!) XXXHolic & Tsubasa.
This anime is still one of my favorites and glad it's now on Crunchyroll. Love the soundtrack too. I first watched it way back in the early 2000s and I gotta say it's so much better than the OVA Movie from the 90s which was so confusing to follow.
@Cindy67917 I remember Wicked City on shelves, can't recall if I ever watched it. Never got into Vampire Hunter D either. But Ninja Scroll I must've seen at least 3 or 4 times - it was one that got shown a lot back in the day, like Ghost in the Shell, or Ranma 😅
Yes, it's a cult classic. (Especially in Europe) My experience with X: it was aired on the German music channel Viva during 2003/2004 late at night [I think it was 10 p.m.]. Although I'm not German, I would not miss a single episode of X. It had this underground/artistic feel to it. It felt different than the mainstream anime I was watching before (like DBZ, Sailor Moon, Pokémon, Digimon and One Piece)...but that's mainly my nostalgia and bias speaking. 😅 At the time the story felt fresh and interesting. There's basically two groups of people with supernatural powers, the Dragons of Heaven also known as the Seven Angels and the Dragons of Earth also known as the Seven Seals. The Dragons of Heaven fight for humanity's survival, while the Dragons of Earth fight for...well, Earth and it's ecosystem. The key player in this epic struggle is Kamui, a 15 year old high-school student, who's neither a Dragon of Heaven, nor a Dragon of Earth yet, but his decision will decide the world's future. Needles to say, being a 15 year old high-school student myself while watching this back in 2003, this story had a major impact on me. 😁 That's why I'm super biased I guess.

Finally!
Moral of the story: make a wise decision about where to start and keep going on to it, no matter what the consequences are.
I still remember the lyrics 20+ years later 😂 thanks crunchy
Same. We used to play this song on repeat at my anime club in college.
When the Earth split in half I knew my life was about to be altered
Didn't it split in half along Japan, or possibly even at Tokyo? Interesting how CLAMP viewed Tokyo as the linchpin for the entire Earth here.

Wow, never imagined I'd see this on Crunchyroll. I remember watching this series when I was a freshman in college.
X???? Man, the nostalgia. I had this entire song memorized in highschool lol
I was just thinking about this anime a couple days ago, I loved watching X!
old school, older osts had so much more umph.
Cool, darker and a bit melancholic feeling. They don't make them like those anymore.
I still listen to Sadame from the OST - full of the weight of duty :chef's kiss:
@@mandisaw yess naoki sato the goat. it's nice to hear his soundtrack in international movie theatres nowadays (godzilla minus one)
They are opening the path to the "Clamp Multiverse".
About damn time.

locally we had within temptations mother earth as the opening theme and it hit pretty hard.
CLAMP 👏👏👏👏👏👏
I really loved this series!I hope the Tokyo Babylon remake manages to get off the ground.
That would be great, gotta get some love for my boys Subaru & Seishiro
Though I admit I'm biased, to me the peak of clamp will always be XXXholic.
It was the culmination of so much of their work, although X and the entire Clamp Campus saga will always be my fave.
Brings back memories, of the Earth Dragons vs Sky Dragons.
One of my old time favorite action animes when growing up. 🥹
VERY random of your crunchy, keep it up !
Old school for real❤

Ah, the anime that inadvertently introduced a generation of weebs to “X Japan”.
That was the movie, this is the TV show :)
@@mandisaw And the TV series was directed by Yoshiaki Kawajiri, the same man who gave us Wicked City, Ninja Scroll and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust.

I didn't realize twitter had its own anime opening
Primero
Sorry but the english song in our german opening was SO MUCH BETTER.
Mother Earth
The only anime made by Elon Musk!
Twitter/X anime adaptation
X was like a lame version of Basilisk (the 2nd Basilisk was garbage)
X came up way before Basilisk…
Wow, an anime about Elon musk? Sounds like an awful series.
that anime sucked why did everyone had to die
