I have to be honest...I watch your stuff for the comedy relief nearly as much as for the carpentry. You crack me up.

I really like the style of your videos! Thanks for sharing - I might get into magnets myself... Greetings from Germany!

Why didn’t I think of this! I’m off to the shed to find a use for my “where the hell did this ball bearing come from” tub. Thanks for posting 👍🙂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

I love this, but the unfinished rope makes me sad. Even just burning it would have made it look so much nicer.

I think it would be much easier to use a long pipe rather than a bearing. bearing is just overkill for this

If I gave any impression that I intended for this project to be easy, I made a serious mistake. But I am interested to understand your idea. Are you talking about a pipe chopped up into like 1/2” segments, using those in place of the bearing? If so I think that would indeed be a good idea for people who want to do the same project but faster.
And BTW I like overkill when I want overkill and dislike it when I don’t.

Awesome, I love both versions. I hope to make the ball bearing version someday but I'm definitely going to use the ad hoc magnet plus ball bearing a few places. I may be a mad fan of post it notes . . .

11 min video for putting magnets inside the wooden board. What the fuck.

It’s more about prototyping and design, which for many of us is not as straightforward as most TH-camrs pretend it is.
Your opinion aligns with most users of the internet, but my channel is for the rest of us.
Thanks for the comment though and provoking thought.

Smart! Love it. Omg. I made a reciprocal-sander yesterday. Sticky sand paper on a blade. Had to reshape a wood wall plate cover to fit a decora switch. Also used a WEN power file belty sander finger sander thingie.

I have used the ball bearings like this in the past, but I love the addition of the sealed bearings on the string!
    Nice one!
